A Dour Struggle

[He'd already been thrilled enough that a new clinic was even made among the outpost's initial facilities. So to now have his very own patient to bring in, rather than just helping out as needed... Akira couldn't possibly be happier!

They hadn't been too far away when he'd made the call to regroup, perhaps overstating the Espathra's injuries for the sake of his own interests. He'd been met with resistance to no surprise, but a single Yawn had at least provided enough time to reach one of the rooms.

As for how long he has left without a proper sedative, though... Well, it's best not to think about it. He can still try setting the bird down on a bed and preparing all they'll need before he wakes.]

[In contrast, Anasui could not be more upset. Those stupid hounds got the jump on him, and even though he was only hit by Incinerate and not a more deadly dark type move, he's still injured. It's embarrassing to get hurt when he said he would be fine fighting Pokemon despite having a type disadvantage... But it's even more embarrassing being carried back when he's perfectly capable of walking.

Anasui groans as he slowly wakes up and looks at his surroundings between bleary eyes. He scowls as he realises he's being carried into the new clinic and cranes his neck to see Akira. He sharply pecks the Slowking's arm, wanting to be let go.]

They're minor burns at best- [Anasui insists, continuing the conversation they were having before Akira put him to sleep, as if there hadn't been a long pause.] I can treat it just fine, you know.

[As he's struck, his response is.. laughter? At least it wasn't a kick that could have sent them both to the ground!

So relenting before there's any risk of injuring Anasui further, Akira brings him to the bed after all before carefully releasing him. Now, to just sort out the right medicine for a burn...]

With wings? Don't be silly. I've been treating animals for longer, anyway, so I don't mind! In fact, I've wanted to--

[... He pauses and looks back as his arm finally starts to hurt. Finishing what he'd been saying can probably wait.]

I'm not a fan of violence. [Is he joking, after his own enthusiasm in the fight just earlier?] But I'm really good at it when I need to be, so try your best to behave, okay?

[Anasui is aggressive and stubborn but he isn't stupid. He knows that it'd be far worse than a couple of burns if Akira dropped him. Still, he has to show he's unhappy with the situation somehow and Peck is one of his weakest moves.

The Espathra stands up slowly and begrudgingly sits on the bed. He scowls.] Despite how I look, I'm not an animal. I do mind.

[Anasui is also pretty observant. He senses there's some sort of change in Akira but he's not sure what it is. Anasui's scowl softens down to a frown.] ... But... Fine. Just make it quick.
