Recent sightings have been made of an unknown Pokemon within Furnace Mountain - descriptions include a metallic scent, glittering eyes, and flower-like shapes, and witnesses are wary of their intentions.

Due to local tension, we have determined it best to investigate the identity and whereabouts of this Pokemon, to determine if they are a threat to others. We now call on any Pokemon able to weather extreme heat, resist potentially toxic materials, and scent through burning environments to band together for this search.

[Naturally, Kris is still taking up the lead even as the day drags on. They've all been at it for awhile now, the battles and harsh environment weighing on their party's endurance, but Kris is used to pushing past the point of exhaustion. They don't really have a choice. They keep their nose pressed to the ground, hot on the bounty's trail.

The strange metallic scent is unmistakable. Not only that, but it's getting stronger... so maybe they're a little overexcited when their snout finally bumps something solid. It smells exactly like their target, the strongest source yet. Their little tail wags.

Succumbing to their draconic instincts, they bite into it. It makes a satisfying cronch.

Tastes really bad, though.

Calmly, Kris turns around to face their party, something purple dripping from the corner of their mouth. They spit the rest of the chewed-up toxic spike onto the ground in front of them.]
