APRIL 2026 EVENT LOG
⋆✩ SPRING INTO ACTION ✩⋆
Not a single flake remains from winter’s chill. Wherever the land can give purchase to new roots, flowers are beginning to bud and bloom. Leaves are filling in the depleted forest canopy, and with these refreshing signs of warmer days, spirits should be as high as the clouds themselves.
Should be is the key word here. Lingering troubles from February still loom, making it difficult for the motivation and excitement from the Starfall Festival to keep from gradually draining away. Surely not everything is dire, right?
i. PROMISES TO KEEP
FLOWER GIFT(S)
It’s a shame that those researchers from the Lum guild are still unaccounted for. The primary guilds of Bottlecap are in an absolute tizzy over the matter, with all of the higher ranking guild leaders spotted picking up slack where their exhausted superiors find themselves slipping. But while the Bay is a hive of frantic worry, things couldn’t be more different in the settlement of Death Blood Murder Skull Town - in fact, everyone who helped Lurantis with preparing Skull Town for the ludicrous winter they experienced will be called via grumpearl to drop in…
Apparently, she has a gift for them.
It’s doubtful that only those due to receive gifts are showing up of course. Perhaps Lurantis even counted on that, as when Pokemon begin to arrive she has far more than just cute presents in store. Spring season doesn’t mean everyone gets to slack off, and while things aren’t quite as pressing as when the town was first settled they still have plenty to do! Even gift recipients could find themselves recruited for one task or another, but this time they’re not getting anything spectacular.
…though they won’t be leaving without some kind of repayment, courtesy of the small bounty those of the town have been making for themselves. It’s clear that over the course of the half year they’ve had, Skull Town has formed itself into a system determined to stand on their own zero-to-six legs. Where once the only major constructed buildings to be seen were the communal dwelling house, clinic, and mail shack, they’ve since expanded into additional large structures! A windmill works constantly to grind the grain now being cultivated in the many flat fields naturally present. A bridge now spans the stream that cuts through the area, leading to a cleared out training field for Pokemon to spar in. For those who haven’t taken the time to visit since before winter, it’s probably quite the shock!

ii. SIGNS OF THE TIMES
ROLLING UP FROM THE SOUTH
Every year, Pokemon of certain species engage in migration. Where others get sleepy, or tuck in for a long hibernation, these Pokemon prefer to just get out of town until the weather is more comfortable.
The region of Bottlecap Bay is not part of the common migration routes, but it's also not out of the way enough to find migrating Pokemon remarkable. Locals and otherworlders alike would have spotted the occasional Swanna flying south last year, or a Seel out in the bay making their round trip of the seas, but it previously would only spark as much notice as a rainy day in spring.
This year is different.
This year, the Pokemon are everywhere. It begins at first with the birds: Flying Pokemon of all kinds shed their feathers as they pass overhead, and it’s the first warning that anyone in Skull Town has before there are suddenly Pokemon canvasing the ground just as much as the feathers themselves. The rooftops, fields, river - anywhere that they can fit, they’re flooding in and fast.
To the Pokemon’s defense, they don’t intend to stay; typically when they land here through the spring they file out in a reasonable order, so much so that it’s easy to forget the field acts as a landing pad for any migrations at all! But the recent weather phenomena really messed up their timing and flight paths…and unfortunately that also means not all of them can immediately head for their usual waters.
The main town at Bottlecap Bay isn’t immune to these sudden swarms either; while less of a hot spot for Flying types on their seasonal loop, there are the occasional Water types passing through…and whatever it was which created such hassle for the air has done the same to the seas! One by one, soon to become ten by ten, Spheal and Seel begin to gather at the beaches alongside Pokemon like Carracosta seeking a place for a seasonal nest. The crowded conditions are creating quite the stir down there, and it’s soon clear that without intervention, some fights are going to be breaking out!

SPOILS OF LABOR
While the aquatic journeyers have little to offer material-wise - anything they can fish up can be retrieved by locals just as easily - the veritable cloud of feathers from the flocks near Skull Town are a more tangible side effect of this recent invasion.
Well. More tangible than the Pokemon themselves, of course!
While none of the Swanna have been dropping anything like the skill feathers one might have occasionally found in the nearby woods, their feathers are an incredibly downy and soft material - pillows and bedding stuffed with these are something of a luxury, making their shed feathers a hot commodity!
More Pokemon than just Swanna came flying in from the sky however, and it’s largely these feathers that characters will likely be finding. A feather is a feather though, which means that there’s use in anything from stuffing to decoration to even tool creation on the table…and Lurantis is not one to look a gift Horsea in the mouth! (How would that even work!)
As soon as the various birds have been settled - either in their trek off to their actual destinations, or temporarily in beds at the communal building - the town sets to work. A call to gather as many feathers as possible is made, and stations to help clean and prepare said feathers for crafting are quick to follow. It’s more complicated than just washing them in water; these feathers have to be cleaned multiple times, dried, and even steamed before they’re appropriate for use!
Well, unless you just plan on making a necklace or something of course. Then you can have at it.

iii. DISTANT DISASTER
OUT OF SIGHT…
For the Pokemon aware of but not participating in the plan to rescue the missing Lum researchers, the first sign of something going wrong is an uproar at the Archives. It may take some time to get more information, though, with everyone busy handling... whatever it is that happened. Unless, perhaps, you're in grumpearl contact with one of the teams that was going on the expedition?
Depending on who someone tries to reach out to, you'll either get no response at all... or you'll be informed that the first group of Pokemon teams that was teleported out has vanished. To somewhere unknown, that is! They haven't shown up where Chimecho was waiting for them! Needless to say, there won't be any more teleporting going on today.
Polteageist was already supervising at the Archives, but the other guild leaders are rapidly summoned. For once even the usually even-tempered Mightyena seems very agitated, but she and Ribombee take turns keeping each other on track. For their part, Polteageist steadfastly defends their teleportation specialists to the other two guild leaders, but behind the scenes their questioning is very thorough and intense. A retrieval for a single team of Pokemon should absolutely not be shaping up into a rescue mission for multiple teams of Pokemon at once!
The guild leaders pull together to form a plan, though. Once the teleportation specialists report back apologetically that they're working on tracking where each team could have ended up, the remaining expedition teams are reassigned to retrieve the missing ones - on foot, this time.
For the moment, Polteageist refuses to accept any additional teams; after all, the ones that signed up were the ones prepared to go into unknown terrain, and that seems to be what's going to happen regardless! But that doesn't mean there's no way for others to help. Pokemon loitering near the Archives may be roped into retrieving supplies and otherwise readying the remaining expedition teams. It seems as though the expeditionaries are expected to be gone for multiple days this time, once they do set out...
Or perhaps you could just keep the remaining expedition teams company? Some of them may be a bit rattled, or winding themselves up anxiously over having to wait to head out.

QUESTIONS
Emporio Alniño | JJBA: Stone Ocean | OTA
[Emporio did quite a lot of helping around in Skull Town before the snow made it arguably impossible for him to do so; lots of gathering materials, lots of running around their own clinic in particular...it was enough that he's more than willing to recognize that, yes, actually, he might be deserving of a Special Treat.
So, since there's time before he and his determined team are teleported out for the big Lum Rescue, Emporio heads to Skull Town for just that.
And it's not like he hasn't been there in recent times. When the snow started melting, and when he wasn't stuck in bed recovering from February's disaster, he absolutely made the trip. But March was a mess of mud and sludge. Now, with the plants in bloom and sprouting?
It's a sea of color. It's the constant floral scent on the air. It's...] It's so...colorful...
[He carefully stows the present he got in the skull on his back. Honestly, he sort of wishes he could stay here a little longer now.]
[SPOILS OF LABOR]
[The feathers are everywhere. A more sensitive type would probably need to sneeze at least a few times, there's so many layering the ground. That's not stopping Emporio however, and he's carefully using his skull to gather as many of them as possible- examining each and every one in the process with a frown.]
Hmmmm... ....They said we could keep some for ourselves, but...
[He wrinkles his nose.] I don't really know what I should make, and that's going to affect which ones and how many...
[Hmmmm.]
[FEATHER IN YOUR CAP]
[In the end, it seems the simplest option was the best option.]
This...should be enough for a pillow, right?
[The feathers had to be cleaned. Washed. Steamed, and all that. But, Emporio has his feathers, and he specifically has a lot of them. All told, it's still only enough for a pillow but it's enough for a pillow and that's rather impressive!!]
...Yeah. It should be enough.
[The cubone pauses from his ponderings, to turn to whoever happens to be nearest in the feather room.] ...Do you know where I can get purple fabric?
[.....Hey hold on.]
[[WILDCARD - After the 15th, Emporio will be MIA for...Probably a week! To be safe though, I won't be doing anything with him after that point until we know for sure how his quest concludes. Everything here is before that point!]]
oko - magic the gathering - ota
[ The Stantler that many of you have gotten to know as Oko is listening, as everybody is planning for the new year. New growth, new life... but he seems a bit distracted, as he watches a grass-type examining a house and growing comfortable with it. ]
They'd give up their better lives for a little bit more safety, then.
[ Notably, though, the Stantler seems to not be doing much work... and seems to be following and listening to the Dark-types, a lot. ]
spoils of labor;
[ But, for once, Oko is in Zorua form... his body wiggling... as he begins to pounce on falling feathers. He knows he's better then this, but he can't help but pounce at them and jump into newly-dried groups. Thankfully, before he disturbs them too much, Oko manages to stop himself...
...but he clearly Still Wants To. Stop him from accidentally breaking some of the feathers. ]
out of sight; [cw: gaslighting]
[ It seems that 'Jace' the Abra is around, though, with a bit of a frown - trying to fuss and aid with the group, trying to keep people calm. But he is muttering. ] My theory still stands - of course they're different if they've Sparked, how could you not consider that-- idiots! [ Oko is playing the long game with this. He does not seem concerned about any of those missing.
...well. He is a tiny bit concerned about one or two of them, but he won't admit it. ]
Ritsuka Fujimaru | Fate/Grand Order | open~
Despite not only being a recent arrival still getting her bearings, but also plunging herself headfirst into any task she could, Ritsuka still couldn't resist visiting the other town to see what all the fuss was about. Which of course also, inevitably, meant being put to work while she was there.
Currently she was busy helping in one of the fields, the Rufflet seeking out and removing rocks and weeds with a methodical and frankly kinda intense focus. Still, she'd notice if approached... Or if someone is blatantly watching.
"Oh, hi, are you here to help too?"
II. Feather-ful
It admittedly felt a little weird to be gathering feathers when she was covered in them already, herself, but the things really were everywhere. Ritsuka had managed a fairly impressive haul, and was just about to add it to the piles waiting to be sorted and washed, when something somebody said caught her attention.
"Wait, we can keep some to make something with for ourselves?"
A pause. A glance at the gathered feathers, then at herself.
"I don't know what to make, though..."

Dolly Mancer | Original Character | Sylveon | OTA
Dolly hadn't been expecting something like this, she truly hadn't after helping Noelle out with the Avalanche situation some months ago, but here it was. It simply was the prettiest paper Dolly had ever seen, it was so bright and colorful, like confetti. Maybe Skull Town wasn't so horribly cursed after all? There was some trades demonstrations going on from what she understood and Dolly did want to learn how to turn this insanely pretty paper into a lantern.
TIME FOR AN ADVENTURE IN SKULL TOWN~!
Dolly can be seen wandering about checking out what's available, pretty impressed by the fire type demonstration on how to temper fire to melt metals with as she passes by. Now...where to find a place to learn how to make a paper lantern at...?
B. Well Hello AGAIN Crafts Club! (Spoils of Labor)
THE BIRDS! So many BIRDS have flown in from migration and goodness...there's plenty of feathers to go around from it. This truly has turned into a craft happy sort of season for Dolly as she goes to help with collecting the fallen feathers that are laying about. With the feathers Dolly does get to keep, she's making her merry little way back to the crafting club for making something magical with the feathers. Question is though, what should a Dolly make with these feathers?
A boa for the Clue game nights or accessories? Decisions, decisions.. One could easily walk up onto Dolly while she's debating on what to craft with the feathers. Just, a little Dolly there is very deep in thought and good for a spooking...maybe.
C. Okay, so Maybe Spring Might be a very CURSED THING (Out of Sight)
It should've been a normal day at the Archives, it should've been a normal moment of seeing 'see, nothing bad is going to happen with the teleportation system and it was just you being silly', but that was not how things played out at all. Dolly had come by to the Archives to see some of her friends that she's made off on the Quest as some reassurance that nothing bad was going to happen. a mere few moments later, the Archives is up in panic as Dolly just stares blankly at what just unfolded.
Why did this even happen? Seeing Polteageist and the other guild masters arrive to the scene did bring some relief before things got reorganized as a rescue effort for both the missing Lum Berries and the first groups that were sent off.
Because Dolly was at the Archives (well of course, this goober pretty much hangs out there, a lot), she is currently helping out getting the second teams ready for walking off into the unknown or even keeping those company as it seems like they too are rattled by this big time like she is. If you happen to come later after the second teams left, Dolly can be seen helping with gathering materials, just anything to keep her mind off the situation or attempting to calling with the grumpearl...it's giving off Blair Witch vibes from the brief bursts of images or sounds....

"And would it be weird to make something with feathers when I have feathers?"
Mayaka Ibara | Hyouka | OTA!
Hearing about all the changes and the help needed, Mayaka doesn't hesitate to pay a visit to Skull Town. She feels a genuine sense of accomplishment seeing how the settlement is shaping up. She did spend a lot of time here during the winter shoveling snow, drawing up road plans, and huddling by the fire.
Today, she's dashing about to gather feathers! It truly feels like a new season is here. The Sneasel gamely stuffs her bag with fallen feathers retrieved from bushes, trees, roofs, and unsuspecting Pokemon. Did a bunch of feathers fall onto you or get tangled in your fur? Mayaka will snatch them off you, without bothering to ask!
She does all this with her claws covered by her trusty pair of gloves, earning the close attention from a Skorupi who's noticed her running back and forth around town. When Mayaka finally takes a break outside the communal house, he'll scuttle up to her and start to berate her for hiding her claws.
"It's simply not befitting of a Poison-type!" he says in a haughty tone.
"I'm being careful." Mayaka replies with a frown. "I don't want to accidentally poison someone."
"Such meekness! We show our fangs and barbs proudly so that others know not to cross us. A sting is never accidental. It must mean you don't possess control of your poison yet. You do know the only way to gain control is to use it, don't you?"
"... Are you asking me to poison someone?!"

2. she's never liked the beach episode ! [rolling up from the south]
"Urgh! What a loooong day."
Mayaka plonks herself near the shore, tossing her satchel and gloves aside so that she can lie down on the sand to rest. Judging by where moon hangs in the sky now, it's already pretty late at night.
The sun was still up when she exited the Archives earlier today, her manga drafts packed safely in her bag. She'd been working on finishing touches to the story in a secluded corner of the library, and had intended to head straight home without bumping into anyone. However, with the sudden arrival of the migrating Spheals, she couldn't ignore the calls for assistance and headed straight down to the beach.
The crowd control, ration distribution, and babysitting for the younger Spheals lasted far longer than Mayaka had expected. There might still be shops open for her to grab a quick supper, or else it'll be just berries tonight. She slowly sits herself up, groaning about her aching muscles. That's when she notices that something is missing.
"Where's my bag?" She gets up and spins around on the spot, starting to panic. She only has one copy of her manga drafts!
A cheeky little laugh alerts her to the culprit. One of the baby Spheals has wandered away from where the rest have chosen to sleep for the night, and is holding her satchel in his mouth.
"Put. That. Down."
With childish defiance, the Spheal begins rolling down the beach with her drawings. Towards the sea.
"OH MY GOD NO NO NO NO NO!!!!"

Nico Robin | One Piece | Cofagrigus✨ | OTA
1. The South Blue
After some of the quarrels have been settled and the water Pokémon have shared their stories, Robin can be found standing at the beach looking south towards the ocean. The unusual weather and storms mean that strange occurrences are happening beyond this island, and that means arrivals might be there too.
Anyone who comes to see what she's looking at will be greeted cordially and then asked: "Have you ever been out to sea?"
2. Birds of a Feather
Anyone working at one of the stations, or just dropping off feathers themselves, would see Robin approach and think she is coming empty-handed. As she gets to the table however, she opens her lid and reaches inside, pulling out handfuls and handfuls of feathers from within her sarcophagus body.
3. ...Out of My Mind
Anyone who is unfamiliar with Cofagrigus will think there is a new grim decoration outside the Archives: an unmoving silver and pink sarcophagus stationed directly outside. Robin is waiting and ready for the moment she gets word on where Emporio, Catrina, and Seto are. Emporio is just a boy who has suffered too much too young, just like her, Catrina is a free spirit whose light should not be snuffed. She has not met Seto Kaiba, but a friend of her friends needs to be rescued too.

Also, probably just going to be tagging out with Kinger on this one, so if you want him anywhere in particular let me know! Robin and Kinger are both from the second half of the quest groups, so they will be available for panicked planning after the first group teleports out.
D. / Steel Yourselves
While it's maybe ill-advised for dirty mining work, Noelle is wearing one of her new outfits-- one of the ones Dolly helped make, with Wooloo wool and the attachable antlers. Once, she accidentally bumps them on a stalactite and laughs at herself. Her new Spring coat- bright pink fur having replaced the previous brown- stands out like a sore thumb in the caves.]
I can't thank you enough for helping with my new look! D-do you really think it looks good on me? [She's definitely asked this before. This is so far off from how she usually dresses!]
2
Today, that same deerling (undoubtedly the same one, with those buck teeth) has a totally pink coat of fur and is wearing a gothic lolita dress. Her yellow flower has turned purple, though close inspection will reveal that's the result of berry dye.]
... Does it feel weird to, like. Have stuff in you? [Noelle is more concerned with Robin than her own appearance in that moment, though.]
2!
It should be straightforward -- sort through the feathers, make sure no foreign objects is mixed in with the deliveries, and store them properly. The Sneasel bids farewell to a timid Bellossom who delivered some pleasant-smelling feathers, before waving for the next person in queue to come up.
"Next plea---....!"
Her cheerful demeanor quickly evaporates as the Cofagrigus looms over her. Just as she tries to remind herself not to be afraid, Robin opens her body and a bunch of feathers emerge from the dark abyss within.
"....."
Mayaka knows she should reach out and check the feathers. But. Just give her a moment to collect herself.
no subject
This was also one of the more calmer quests to be on...Dolly rather not think about the Infestation quest from earlier... ]
[ Dolly smiles warmly seeing the outfit being worn and loved, that one was a lot of fun to design. ] It's no problem at all, it's easily one of my favorite quests I've seen. I think that outfit looks great on you.
