And there is a definite sense of personality about the people, merchants or otherwise, looking for the best opportunity to turn a profit. It isn't a bad thing...just frustrating, when the person wielding that ambition is doing so with cruelty and selfishness.

In that respect, Ribombee has a sense of that ambition about him. I doubt I'd have noticed if I hadn't spent so much time in that city. But in that respect, I can't quite pin down how he wields his ambition.
