QUEST CATCH ALL - JUNE
Who: Emporio, A.B.A, Siffrin, Sanji, Ring-Spirit, Technus, and Flowey (And maybe others?)
What: QUESTS! QUESTS!
Where: The town, and a bit of the forest
When: Throughout June
Warnings: Will be added as needed
{TALKING HEADS - CLOSED: TECHNUS, FLOWEY}
[It's not the first missing Pokemon case that Emporio has worked on, but it's certainly been a while since he took part on such a Quest all the same. Last time it was a Pumpkaboo who wandered off a total of three times before he even got to it. This time...
Well, this time he gets to the Questboard just in time to see two others there- one from each of the other Guilds, in fact.
Needless to say that has him pause. These are both familiar faces, more or less.] ...Flowey?
Technus?
[Honestly he just really hopes they weren't about to argue about who gets the quest. They're a group effort deal after all, and hey, the more the merrier right?]
...Are you making a team for today?
[Also, can he join??]
{BROKEN BRICKS - BRICK BY BRICK MINGLE}
[Emporio is quite relieved to be doing a gathering quest like this. He might not have any ground move to speak of, but there's just something...relaxing about working with the mud like this. The water isn't pure enough to give him a rash. It's even, dare he say it, rejuvenating. Getting as distracted as he does, it's easy for him to lose track of time...and also, of his teammates.]
Hmmhmhmmm....
[But really, who would bug him, he's even humming a song!]
{ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL - BEST OFFENSE MINGLE}
[Actually putting to use the bricks he just helped built is quite the novel thing. Making the bricks themselves was relaxing. Fulfilling, even. Putting the bricks together should, in theory feel something the same, but that's all in theory.
After all, his team mates seem to be having...a little trouble? Only a little though, but...hm.]
It looks like we're supposed to put the base together for now, [he observes, looking from the marked off wall area, to the bricks, and then to the others.]
...How much can you both lift anyway..?
[It's a fair question, he thinks.]

Hmm... The quest mentioned a 'Stunky', right? How about we start there?
[He doesn't know where to find someone called 'Stunky', so he looks at Emporio for guidance.] Say, how often do Pokemon go missing around here, anyway?
no subject
...So, we can start by asking the first Pokemon we see on the way to Stunky! Not just if they've seen Zweilous, but also if they can tell us what they look like.
[Ah, but this other question is.... ...kinda relevant.]
...Honestly, not often. Well. ...Not like this? We get rescue assignments every day on the board, which tend to get snapped up really quick...
...but a few months ago, I went on a recovery mission a lot like this. The Pokemon involved just... ...kept disappearing.
I think people had to track them down a total of four times.

[He'll still do it, of course. There's always the chance it's the last time, and of course, there's the rewards. On his Archive dives when he'd first gotten here, he'd read about a type of stone called a Thunder Stone. If Technus can acquire one, perhaps he can use it as an electrical conductor.
That's not the stone they'll get, but he doesn't know that.]
REGARDLESS! AS GUILD MEMBERS, IT IS OUR DUTY TO ASSIST THE COMMUNITY, AND SO WE SHALL DO SO TO THE BEST OF OUR ABILITY!
AS FOR ZWEILOUS'S APPEARANCE... I MAY BE REACHING HERE, BUT I HAVE A HYPOTHESIS. POKEMON SPECIES NAMES OFTEN HAVE TO DO WITH APPEARANCE, CORRECT? SUNKERN THE SUNFLOWER SEED-
[He gestures to Flowey.]
-AND CUBONE, WITH THE BONE BACKPACK THING.
[He gestures to Emporio.]
ZWEILOUS... "ZWEI," TO ME, SOUNDS SIMILAR TO "TSVEY." "EYE" VERSUS "AY," BUT THE SAME GENERAL SOUND. SO ZWEILOUS MAY BE A POKEMON THAT HAS TWO OF SOMETHING.
no subject
[He knows in general this place is weird-- fog that makes your memories leak out, tunnels full of mindless burrowing monsters, Pokemon vanishing without a trace. It irritates and excites him that there's so many mysteries he can't solve.
With that said, he turns and listens to Technus.]
And Rotom, from... rote? Heh. [He honestly has no idea. Maybe one day he'll spell it backwards.] Techno, you really are a genius! It's probably not two legs or two eyes or something normal like that... it would have to be something other Pokemon don't have, right? Maybe... two tails? Two heads? Two big spoons? [He swears he saw some weird Pokemon walking around holding spoons and bending them with its mind for some reason.]
no subject
But, rubbing his head he does nod.] Probably Rotom for 'Rotor', actually...
But that's a good point about 'zwei'. And a good start. [Though he doesn't know about two spoons.]
If there's one thing we can be sure of though, it won't be pointless. Each team that performed the rescue did still achieve something after all. The victim just...left again.
[Big sigh, that.] So, first step then.
[He spots a store ahead.] We begin asking.
[They're in for a long day...]
no subject
[Technus goes to float into the store, bumping into the door before managing to push it open. He's still getting used to these limbs and this body... and especially to not being able to phase through things.]
HELLO, SHOPKEEP!
[The shopkeep, a Jumpluff, looks a little overwhelmed.
"Hello?"]
no subject
Howdy! We're from the Cheri Berries guild and we were wondering if you've seen a Pokemon called Zweilous! Mind if we just ask a question or two?
[As he said, Flowey tries to do most of the talking, though he doesn't prevent Technus's insights or advice from Emporio. The Jumpluff mentions that Zweilous had been seen wandering into the forest, one of its heads muttering something about 'doing it all over'.
At that, Flowey turns to the others.] Okay, it was two heads. Sue me.
no subject
...Lucky that they saw where they headed out from the city too. ...even more lucky that we're going to the North, frankly. I really don't want to try finding someone in the south...
no subject
[Technus's knowledge didn't have anything to do with anything.]
I HAVE NOT YET BEEN TO THE NORTHERN FOREST- WHAT IS OUT THERE?
no subject
Yeah, and how much worse is the south?
no subject
...If you've been to the Middle, you've seen the fog...it's still there in the South, but it isn't as powerful.
What is powerful is... ...something else though. Time and space itself doesn't work there. People can go in for what feels like an hour and come back after days, and the paths never stay the same.
...Compared to that though, and the North is...nice. There's no fog at all up there.
[He pauses, thinking about that though.] ...Though, we do need to watch out for spores.
no subject
I HAVE AN ADVANTAGE OVER YOU TWO- I CAN GO A WHILE WITHOUT BREATHING!!
no subject
Anyway! More questioning witnesses, or are we heading north, oh wise leader? [He turns to Emporio.]
no subject
I just brought it up because...well, it's still something to worry about. But it's nothing that Dr. Denne- or even I- can't handle.
I think with that in mind though...we'll head for the forest. We have to pass through your Guild territory to get there actually, [he says with a look to Flowey,] So there's a chance someone in the Canopy might have seen more clearly what direction Zweilous went!
no subject
RIGHT, THAT WOULD MAKE SENSE. IF SOMEONE ELSE HAS A BETTER IDEA, THAT WILL SPARE US TIME WANDERING THROUGH THE FOREST!
cw: disassociation
[Even though he says this, he mostly leads them in the direction of the Canopy. He questions a few Pokemon with the others' help and learns that there may be signs of a trail that they can follow--
Who are 'they'? What are they even doing? Are they really themselves anymore? Were they ever to begin with?
... A second later, the feeling is gone. Disassociation, chills, confusion-- someone walking over your grave. He remembers: he's Flowey. He chose that name. He was sent here after everyone else went to the surface.
He looks at the others to see if they experienced this feeling or if he's just finally losing it.] G-golly, that was weird! Anyone feel that? Just me?
no subject
[Easy peasy, right? They start making their way for the Canopy, and soon enough they're ready to head for the woods itself. With the trail they've got, and the information on Zweilous over all, there should be no issues whatsoever.
Except...for that wave.
It's familiar- at least for Emporio. Just like when he looked for Phantump. That horrible, crawling feeling that tried to make him question who he was, down to the core.]
NGh-
[He takes a deep, shuddering breath.] It...
It's not just you. D...don't focus too much on it though, okay? [he tries to reassure.] We're exactly who we are, trust me.
