Hmm.. so our own experiences are inconclusive.

It's clear our personalities, our memories, the sorts of things that can be stored in the soul, were mostly unaffected by the change. But preferring an altitude predators can't reach or saving rations while they're readily available like you've said suggest these bodies might provide their own instincts for all of us. I'd like to find out everything that has a chance of being attributed to them.
