[Closed] Play Nice? Not Play Rough?
Who: Guilmon, Emporio and Anasui ft. a Litwik
What: Play Nice
Where: South Forest
Warnings: Anasui being violent
Anasui hates the Southern Forest. He's not sure why he keeps ending up here and willingly coming back. He hates that it's an unsettling labyrinth that messes with your mind as much as it's filled with Ghost Pokemon. And even if he didn't have a type disadvantage, he'd probably still hate it here because the resident ghosts still messed with them, barely being affected by the Spiritomb's influence - 'Why do we even keep that thing around the Bay?'. To top it all of, the mission is stupid to Anasui as well. Go find recruits but we have no idea who you should recruit? What nonsense...
So the Espathra is in a pretty bad mood as he strolls behind both Emporio and Guilmon. He's leaving it to the duo to navigate, preferring to hang behind and watch for enemies. Should Emporio or Guilmon glance behind, Anasui will grunt at them, wordlessly asking what's wrong. Otherwise... he's quiet.

But, it seems fun as well. It seems like a good excuse to walk through the woods and not end up in alarming amounts of danger. Sure, it's not like the woods are perfectly safe now, but for all that it's at least partly a ruse, Spiritomb is still upholding their end of the deal. For the time being, they've determined it worth far more to play along than not.
And maybe, just maybe, with a world like this they can prove that actual cooperation is worth while.
Still. It's...
"Mmmm..." He glances back, and sure enough there's that grunt. Emporio shakes his head in a 'nothing' motion, and turns to the charmeleon beside him.
"...I know he said he wanted to come but I keep getting the sense that he doesn't want to be here..." he mutters quietly, trying to keep it to a whisper.
no subject
Ah.
"Maybe he's scared of ghosts?"
This... probably isn't a very accurate description, but the Southern Forest is pretty eerie! Even big, strong birds can be afraid.
no subject
"I'm fine. I dislike ghosts but only because they're damned bastards, not because I'm scared. 'Keep looking forward', they said. Bah... What a stupid navigation technique."
no subject
That's what Emporio's take-away was, but of course it was. He does at least seem a little less nervous as he tries to reassure Guilmon though. "...He's definitely telling the truth when he says he's not scared, don't worry about that ok?"
The 'He's just incredibly irritated' probably goes without saying, though Emporio also recognizes that...well.
Guilmon is a simple sort.
So he focuses on the path ahead. "It's a shame we can't let ourselves off the path to look for anyone and then go from there though. I feel like the chances of anyone being on the road are pretty low..." But, in the end, there wasn't really a good way to tell which forest they were entering from the Outpost side. Rough, honestly.
no subject
And there are a lot of ghosts here, so that's likely what they'll find.
Either way, he keeps sniffing along, tail swishing every now and then.
feel free for either/both of you to take the Litwick!
"If that fucking Spiritomb is anything to go by, if ghost Pokemon want to find us, they will. Not the other way around..."
no subject
Emporio's words are of course, ignored. And getting glared at for his efforts just makes him sigh. Fine, fine, he'll accept that it makes it 'worse'.
A shudder passes down his spine, and the Cubone pauses.
"....I think one found us," he comments after a moment, fairly certain he knows what the feeling he just experienced is.
no subject
The Litwick drifts forth from the shadow, accentuated by the flicker of its flame. "Bread? That's your pitch?" It giggles, sizing up the rest of the group. "And how do I know I can trust you? He doesn't look too thrilled to be here..."
Yes, Anasui, it's lookin' at you.
no subject
"Believe me, if I didn't want to be here, I would have left. I'd rather be at Bottlecap Bay but I'm here because they want to bring other people over, Lumiere."
"Lumiere?" The Litwick blinks, confused, before it shakes its head. The Litwick's flame begins to grow as it begins to gather its strength... Probably need a better argument than what Anasui's provided, gang.
no subject
So he starts, before Anasui covers the rest for himself. Emporio, needless to say, looks tired.
And kinda feels tired, especially after the Lumiere remark. "...It's a reference to...th- that doesn't matter..! We're here to see if anyone would like to take up residence in either the town, or the outpost being constructed! A lot of Ghost type Pokemon have been enjoying the beach in particular, so it could be worth moving closer if you want to visit them!"
no subject
Guilmon doesn't like where this is going. Fidgeting, he tries cutting in. "Um... The outpost's supposed to be a safe place for Pokémon! Just like the town. The town's got lots of good food and nice people, and we all work hard to help each other!"
"By trespassing on our turf?" Scoffing, the Litwick turns toward Anasui. "I don't think so!"
Better watch out, Anasui. That's some fire hurtling your way!
no subject
Anasui was long ready for a fight and the Litwick telegraphed its attacks pretty obviously. He's able to easily jump back out of the way, dodging the fire bolt licking at his heels. The Espathra shoots a dirty look at the Litwick.
"Fine. If it's a fight you want, it's a fight you get, you stupid child." Anasui's voice drops to something smooth and almost charming, which makes his words even more chilling. As he curls the last three words out, hearts form around him and then lash out at the Litwick. The candle-like Pokemon tries to dodge but Disarming Voice never misses and sends it tumbling back.
"This is our turf and I'll send ya'll right out of it!" The Litwick yells as its flame builds again and shoots a ball of ghostly energy at both Emporio and Guilmon.
no subject
For someone being attacked with ghostly fire, he's alarmingly calm. Possibly because it's the kind of thing he actually got a small lecture on.
"I personally think everyone here is already missing the point..!!" he groans, and with alarming ease, successfully dodges the fire. Apparently, somehow, he's right in his element.
And right in his element means grabbing a rock off the ground and Flinging it. With Fling, that is.
Dark move, incoming, Litwick!
no subject
"Wah! Look out!" Yes, he's warning the Litwick. He may have lost the plot, or maybe he's... concerned?
Unfortunately, his words come a bit too late. That dark type rock whacks the Litwick and sends it reeling back with a yelp.
"Oh, so that's how ya wanna play, huh?!" It puffs out its... chest? Face? And then, indignant, launches a Will-O-Wisp at Emporio—
Until Guilmon intercepts it. And, since he's a fire type, he's immune.
"Stop that! We're supposed to be friends!"
no subject
"Hmph. If the brat wanted to be friends, it wouldn't have shown up and attacked us," Anasui spits out. He leaps in front of Guilmon and Emporio and spreads his feathers. A peculiar light flashes from the gaps and Anasui releases a Lumina Crash. The Litwick yelps as it's hit and grits its non-existent teeth.
"Not bad for a couple of beach Pokemon," The Litwick says, charging up a Shadow Ball. Anasui tenses but prepares himself, not moving so he takes the hit instead of Emporio or Guilmon.
no subject
Ah, there's the prison swearing in Emporio's veins.
And here's another thrown rock, for that matter. Fling strikes again, with far more force now that Anasui's jumped to take a blow like that. "And I'll say it again- No one started settling in YOUR 'turf'!"
no subject
Before giving it a Scary Face.
"Rrrr... stop being stubborn! There's three of us, and you're losing!"
sorry for the delay!
"Territory. Turf. Sounds like you're just making up excuses for a fight!" Anasui hisses. He pivots back to glare at the Litwick before he charges. The Litwick tries to dodge but Guilmon's Scary Face has gotten to the Pokemon, making it vulnerable With a twist of his beak, Anasui uses Drill Peck and then tosses the Litwick up into the air.
"And if you're looking for one, I'll be glad to give you one. Diver Down!" Anasui doesn't need to yell it but it's instinct for the natural-born Stand User. As he cries out, he shoots another Lumina Crash at the Litwick. The second hits its mark but not before the Litwick fires another Shadow Ball at Anasui which hits the bird critically in the chest.
no subject
At least long enough to watch Anasui take another Shadow Ball.
Then it's over.
"That's. IT!"
Emporio hasn't been using STABs. Fling might be super effective, but he himself isn't Dark type.
Ground is also super effective, however, and he absolutely is Ground Type.
"BONE RUSH!!"
He's about had it with this dude-
He's gonna beat the wax out of this candle-
no subject
...
Guilmon has an idea.
So he starts... digging. Yes, he's digging, and he's digging under the Litwick, because it's so distracted by BIG BONE that it won't notice when Guilmon pops up from behind and grabs it.
"Gotcha!"
Between the bonk on the head and being grabbed by a much larger creature, it seems they've made... some headway? Pun not intended.
no subject
"Gahhhh! That hurt!" Litwick cries as he's bonked. The ghost writhes in Guilmon's claws and puffs its flame indignantly but it's tired. After a double barrage of super effective moves and Anasui's assault, it can barely splutter another flame. "Geh... For a stubborn bunch, you're not half bad. You lot are strong."
"Hmph. Complements won't save you when you've lost. You surrendering?" Anasui groans as he pushes himself back onto his feet, ready to keep fighting despite the damage.
no subject
But he sure is seething. And still holding that bone.
There are no words. Too angy.
no subject
Guilmon's cheeks puff up in a pout. "Good. Then you'll join us, right?"
"Yeah, yeah. Now can you let go, or what?"
no subject
"I don't know. Do we even want a little bastard to join us?" He asks.
"Ahhhh don't be like that! Look, look, look. I admit, ya'll are strong. And if joining the guild will make me stronger, then I do wanna join. Even if it is on a beach!" The Litwick looks up at Guilmon pleadingly. They've already figured out Guilmon is the one to try appeal to... "Honest! Please?"
"It's not on a beach. The beach is nearby," Anasui huffs. He looks at the other two before he clicks his tongue irritably.
"You guys decide. I don't care either way." The implication that Anasui will finish off the Litwick if they don't recruit it hangs ominously in the air.
no subject
Partially kill?
He feels like he remembers Anasui saying something about how you can actually kill a Ghost Pokemon, and he didn't like the idea of going the extra mile. Still-
He sighs.
"Let's just bring him to town..." Emporio grumbles, simply wanting this over now.
