Rescue Braixen!
Who: Akechi, Ren, A.B.A, and Perrin
What: Rescuing Braixen
Where: The Ocean
Warnings: A sick Pokémon. xD That's it.
Akechi knew his flight would aid in an aquatic rescue mission. What he didn't anticipate was such an oddball and eclectic team. Granted, he's worked with Ren before under far more dire circumstances. A.B.A. is... exhausting at points, but well-meaning, and Perrin seems very intelligent and reliable. By all accounts, this mission should prove successful, especially with two larger Pokémon on their side and two of their party blessed with flight.
Just to be safe, he's filled a small satchel with some berries and other assorted odds and ends. Without knowing the state Braixen's in, they'd best err on the side of caution, after all.
Once he's ready, he makes his way out to the beach, waiting for the others to arrive.

"Hey," he greets Akechi, "just waiting on the others, huh?"
He saw A.B.A getting ready earlier, and he thinks he saw Courier Six in town as well, so they're probably not far behind, either.

It's still possible for the boys to miss her, though, despite how she usually stands out. She's taken to lying in the sand, watching the water from upside down as she wiggles and giggles to herself.
"Ahahahahmhmhmnnn~ A blue so clear, you can peer into its depths~~~"
It's...possible she may not be doing this for Braixen, but at least she's doing it. And that's what matters.

Yet the smell of the ocean gets him to stop. It's still something he's not quite used to. His voice was firm, as he looked to the two he could properly see - the bird and the cat. The weird chimera? He'd seen her, but he wasn't quite sure if she was with them.
"Right, so. Weird fox is what we're lookin' for, right?"

He looks to Ren. "While I'm certain you've had time to hone your swimming skills, we must also consider distance." And so, interrupting A.B.A's whimsy, he finally flutters toward her. "You're fairly large. Surely some passengers wouldn't hurt, provided Ren or I end up needing rest during the voyage."
His attention flits back to Perrin. "Your body does look buoyant enough to withstand the water, even if your wings tire."
So they have options. All things considered, it's not a terrible party composition.

But the longer they delay, the worse the situation may be for Braixen, so he clears his throat.
"Right then. Is everyone ready?" he asks, looking around, "we don't know how far out Braixen may be, after all. We best set out soon."
no subject
"I was ready long before you got here," she...probably doesn't think she's lying, at least. She WAS here pretty early. "You are more than welcome to use my form, but know if you don't hang on, you will die. I don't turn back for stragglers."
Now that is a lie. Like A.B.A could ever let someone like, say, Ren drown.

"I can still float, mind you." He's stepping into the water, his body looking relaxed and gentle. He's still getting used to the ocean, thank you very much. "So if we need somethin' to carry 'em... well, we won't be leavin' Braixen behind."

But, since they have a rough plan in motion, Akechi takes a step back, then hops into the air and lets his wings take it from there. "An aerial perspective should make it easier to navigate. Since I'm the most comfortable with my wings, I'm happy to scout ahead."
He gazed down at Ren. If he were larger, it'd be easy enough for them to work out an arrangement, but as things stand...
"Try to stay out of trouble."
no subject
"Hey, not my fault if trouble finds me," he says, amused, but when Akechi narrows his eyes, he waves a dismissive paw. "I'll be fine, Akechi. You know me."
Then, he goes to the other two, trotting after Courier Six and A.B.A to follow them into the sea. Hmm... he bats at the water, shaking out his paw, before taking the leap. Where the water only comes to the larger pokemon's ankles, he's already chest deep. Not that he's going to let that discourage him. He's been practicing his swimming with Firepaw, after all!
"Right. Let's go find Braixen, then."
