negative 219 years old,

Who: Courier Six... and you! Open :3 And yes, this is a mingle-style log as well.
What: That Dragonite? He's now 39 years old, and accidentally admitted it. So a group is gonna burn down his kitchen make him a cake and other goods.
When: October 10th
Where: Perrins' house, in The Archives area.
Warnings: None, but watch for comment headers
.

[ Today is a special day. Perhaps one of you heard it though the Grumpearls, or noticed from one of the tablets that Courier Six had scribed. He'd muttered over the Grumpearls that he had expected a birthday wish from them, like his old Pip-Boy, but... if anybody had tried to ask him about it, he had fallen asleep in his bed, or ignored the calls, or... something.

But perhaps you want to prepare something for him, or just drop off a gift. Or plan a suprise party!

Thankfully (?), for now, Courier Six is out. Doing his regular rounds, and working on his scribing for the community. Over his time here, he's settled on his daily tasks, and grown comfortable with it.

The small house that Perrin lives in, alongside his roommates - Ursaluna and Arcanine - is built for larger Pokemon. Perrin lives on an upper floor, with a comfortable bedroom and what seems to be a work area. There's a bunch of what might seem like junk in one pile in his work area, with many scattered papers with notes on them. As for the kitchen... area, though, the fireplace has been built around with stone slightly, easier to make adjustments to when he has to cook anything. But it's all scaled for a Dragonite.

Uh. Good luck?]

[ I'll put up a comment for when Perrin gets gifts below, as well, after a few days! ]

Hm. Could be like me and just forget the damn thing all together. [ Last he remembers, it might've been sometime in the spring, but what's another year when he's got hundreds already. ] Don't think I'm that easy to shoo away though.

[ Tilting his head, he hums quietly under his breath. It wouldn't be fair to ask what home was like, when he knows Perrin well enough. ]

I know how it is though. Staying put after wandering that long. Almost doesn't feel right.

[ He does huff at that, despite knowing Perrin isn't wrong. If he wanted to hole himself away from everyone, he very well could, but while that's comforting to the burrowing rodent and lone wolf in his mind, there's a piece of him now that's far more disinterested in that idea now. ]

Tch. You say that, until some dog digs me up for lunch.

[ A very real and valid concern despite the humor in his voice. But the next bit does a hit on his grin, ears flicking at what Perrin has to say. Would he know? Bigby glances at the scars in question with a small head tilt. They definitely looks surgical in nature, but that's as far as he gets. ] ... Who's she? [ The answer is no, Perrin. He wouldn't know. ]

[ Like a dog trying to make sense of what's going on, his head tilts to the other side now. As much as he can tell Perrin is bothered, he can't exactly pinpoint why until the Dragonite finally explains. Suddenly, a light turns on in his mind, and his ears perk once it becomes clear.

That term isn't unfamiliar actually, though admittedly he didn't think much of it beyond a definition. Humans overcomplicate things for themselves, add labels, create divides. In the forest, you simply are what you know you are. Even a runt can call himself the biggest there is and prove it to be true.

He still doesn't get why Perrin seems so disappointed needing to talk about it, but Bigby supposes it must be a human thing, and one he'd probably never quite understand. Maybe being a mundy makes it all the more difficult too, having to navigate those changes without any magic to help either.
]

Even if she would've been happier with a pack of kids, where would that leave you? I mean, I don't know Eve, but I do know Perrin. [ He shrugs, trying not to sound dismissive, just offering a different perspective. ] Maybe in another life, she'd be in Nebraska asking the same damn thing about you, yeah?

[ The mention of fairy tales makes him glance away at first. How simpler things would be, if they could always wrap up in a happily ever after. There's a comfort in that, one even Bigby can't deny, despite knowing no one can ever have their good ending until the big bad villain is gone and dealt with.

A part of him wants to say it's not that simple, but instead, he meets Perrin's sad smile with one of his own.

You think she got the fairy tale she wanted? Running away, letting you... be you?
