What: These violent delights are awesome I wonder how they end (Quests, arguing, emotionally charged cat brushing, training...)

When: Throughout November
Warnings: Pokemon battling (violence/injury), mentions of blood, allusion to Pokemon death. Flowey's typical warnings (child death, depression, depersonalization, unreality).

[Now mocking their intonation a bit, he says:] Aww, it's not a pun, Loophole, it's a stroke of genius!

[As far as he's concerned, getting your own name and cutting off that last rotting part of your past life is crucial.

... but maybe they still want to be Siffrin. The thought occurs to him so suddenly that it catches him by surprise. Not everyone is like him. They still have a soul.]

You were holding back, weren't you? Back in Heavy Downmoor. You really did care!

[This, notably, is in past tense. There's an unspoken question in it. Flowey felt shocked by their desire to kill. Are they still friends? Can someone like him really have a 'friend', anyway...?]

[They still want to be Siffrin so bad it hurts. But not enough, anymore, to take "being Siffrin" from... Siffrin. And two Siffrins simultaneously just doesn't work! So they've got no choice but to "be Loop!" (Pay no mind to how this is instantly contradicted, or at least made a lot fuzzier, by the way they and Nyafrin are now outright sharing custody of the name -)]

I was trying so hard, sunshine! You have no idea how many puns I had to swallow.

[Their tone... is it self-deprecating (past-self-deprecating) or just amused...? If it's the former, do they really mean it, or is it just what they think is expected of "Loop?" (The trouble is, even they don't always know. Teehee!)]

And then you went all scandalized on me over the pearls! Knife right to the back!

[They're smirking at Flowey. Which. Doesn't exactly answer the unspoken question.]

[(Were they friends? Did they actually get to that point, or just agree to not be at each others' throats? Siffrin didn't really have enough time to figure out which of those Flowey wanted, but even if they were... that was with "Siffrin," not "Loop." Flowey was pretty clearly disgusted by them! So who knows now.)]

In any other case, he would've taken it as silent confirmation that Siffrin hates him and these two were never friends. But, now... after all of the fights he's had with them, not to mention just in general in the last week? He's tired. And as much as he hates to admit it, some of the things Bigby told him have begun to resonate a little.

Fine. MAYBE I overreacted. It really isn't about me! I don't care who you kill or don't kill! But do you know how much people who CAN care actually DO care about you here? No. All you care about is the stupid people you left back home!

How do you think someone like Shoka feels seeing you flip out and completely change your personality?! Look, I get it! You're not you. Your friends back then are alive and love another you who did it better. You shouldn't even be here. There's no one else who gets it better than I do!

[He can't keep shouting. His voice is hoarse from all the tantrums he's already had. And he's aware, in the back of his mind, he's only making things worse like always.

He understands them so much (or at least, so he thinks) that he immediately realizes why they haven't just 'gotten help' and 'solved their emotional issues'. HE sure as hell hasn't!]

[With the dam broken, they nearly keep going, but they abruptly remember that Flowey is like, barely a teenager and pull themself back in.]

[Most of the way. They can't quite resist adding, sweetly:] But you can't just go yet! There must be some advice you're itching to give me, right? Let's hear it. I'm your eager audience!

[Look how perked their ear is!]

[It'd definitely have been easier to just let Flowey storm off, they're thinking, but it's too late now: they have to commit.]

You know what? With that in mind, he's not going to give them some last word for them to pick apart and mock. He looks at them almost with... pity? Is it apologetic? Both? Either way, he's gone.]
