[ While she's never seen a Veluza, it smells like fish. Odile's always liked fish well enough, but after becoming a Sneasel...it must be like cats, she guesses. ]
I've been craving something like this ever since the apple onigiri. Our chef, Boniface, has some creative ideas at times.
[ She wonders how they're doing. Not well, if their absence has been noted...yet, she's not at all certain it would have been. ]

[Just a fun fact! Not that Odile seems particularly concerned about where the meat came from.]
I'll say. Never heard of anyone putting apples in onigiri... It totally tracks for Bonnie though.
[Only after she says it out loudโautomatically, thoughtlessly, without even knowing what she means by thatโdoes she realize how strange that is for her to say. She's never even met Bonnie. She tries to move on quickly.]
They were that bad, huh?
no subject
Not one of their better ideas, for sure. Has Siffrin told you about them?
no subject
Yeah, they told me about all of you. Just the basic stuffโlike your names, what kinda role you had on the team... [How they died and died and died...] That sorta thing.

[ Gems know how fond he is of them. Odile thinks it with more wry fondness than Siffrin would probably believe. ]
I miss the others too. But I'm glad Boniface isn't here, at least. They'll want to get back to their sister, after all.
[ It seems cruel to delay that reunion even more, after they've waited so long. Odile doesn't know what their plans for travel were, given Siffrin's health, but Isabeau had sent a letter to Bambouche explaining the situation. Petronille would likely show up sooner or later. ]

Oh... Right. Odile thinks she's talking about Stardust, doesn't she? Not... her Siffrin. That's going to be weird to figure out. Thankfully, Shoka's Pokรฉmon form being faceless means that her momentary confusion doesn't show, and her voice is unusually gentle when she continues.]
I bet. I... would've liked a chance to meet everyone, to be honest. Considering how much Frinrin's hyped you all up. [She's exaggerating, but only a little; said hyping up came more from Siffrin's memories than their mouth.] Didn't even know Bonnie had a sister, though...

[ It was a grimmer encounter than this brief summary would seem to imply. She glosses over it. ]

The very same. He's frozen in time himself now.
[ Odile's a little sorry that they didn't end up actually killing him. But the King really ended up being the lesser concern in Dormont. ]
no subject
[That's something she knows less about: the perfect ending. She's darkly amused, yet at the same time feels a distant pang of despair that she knows isn't her own.]
How'd you manage that anyway?
no subject
[ Odile's time loop knowledge isn't even that complete, but she at least got a good idea of the King's first attack just from witnessing it. That would ahve been...very, very bad without a shield. ]
no subject
[For reasons that are only really obvious to her.
Speaking of medicine, she seems to have settled in for the long haul, seating herself near Odile's beside with the boxed onigiri within reach as they chat. A buddy helps recovery?]
no subject
Shinx Siffrin wasn't up there for that. I don't think they were able to see it.
[ Do they not know? She ought to tell them. ]
no subject
Right... [There's a long pause as she tries to think of what to say to that.] To be honest... They're the only Siffrin I'm really friends with. I've only talked to Stardust, like, once.
[So does the team Siffrin hyped up for her even include the Odile sitting in front of her right now? Or was that a different version, too?
On second thought, maybe she shouldn't have said anything after all.]
no subject
[ It's...interesting. Speaking with people who know the both of them. Odile's not used to it; she never got any chance to get used to it, the way things went down back home. ]
Technically, I suppose I only met them briefly before this. They were the one being secretive then.
[ And then "Stardust" picked it up here, evidently. If she didn't already know they were both Siffrin... ]
no subject
[...]
Bet that's weird. [For everyone involved.] But... you can figure things out with them now, right?
no subject
[ She doesn't trust that they ever would have caught up with the rest of them, if they'd all just stayed in Vaugarde. ]
no subject
Maybe it is. But I'm glad, too.
[That's just one of several things she and Siffrin have in common: being here has given them chances they wouldn't have had otherwise. Or maybe that's just wishful (hah) thinking on her part.]
Frinrin's... important to me. Iโwant them to be happy, y'know? So... you better be good to them, got it? Or I'll do something.
no subject
Fair enough.
