Dolly's December and January Catchall!

Who: Dolly, you, and the whole Yule season...

What: An in general Catchall with a side of quests should they come up :'3c

When: Throughout all of December!

Where: Bottlecap Bay and some mild wilderness (we're off to get a tree~)

Warnings: None at the moment, but will update if something crops up.

[Well, Dolly is far less likely to get mauled than Anasui is, by virtue that Anasui is the one glaring the Abomasnow down. However, despite Anasui's go-to-method being violence, the Abomasnow hasn't exactly done anything. In the end, Anasui just huffs but takes a step back, feathers bristled defensively but making it clear he will only attack if the Abomasnow does.]

Your friend is so rude.

[The Abomasnow says finally to Dolly, looking still visibly annoyed. However, she seems more willing to talk.] Now what's all this about then?

[ You know what? This was pretty good progress! Dolly was relieved that the Abomasnow was being very understanding of the situation and not going into a merry yuletide slaughter spree at this point in time. ]

We were just going out to get a tree for the house my friends live in to decorate in preparations for the upcoming holiday. I'm sorry for the confusion though, we really didn't mean to bother you in any way.

[ Will Abomasnow offer to be the Christmas tree for the house or will she go and help find the duo a better tree to chop down? Dolly was hoping the powers of communication will pull through. ]

[Grannie Abomasnow is too old for that nonsense. Maybe twenty years ago she would have done it but now she's just rubbing her temples and snorting out cold air.]

Upcoming holiday? I see. Well... if you need a tree, make sure no one is in it first. Hmm... If you want a large tree... I suppose there's one not too far South of here. Rather thin thing but has good branches.

... If you could... That would be... good.

Perhaps if you both were polite about it, I could show you...

[ Dolly is thanking her lucky stars that she has that school girl charms still thanks to being in college for over three decades. ]

Thank you so much for your help in helping us with the tree and we're sorry again for the confusion.

[ All that mattered was that a battle was avoided and Dolly wasn't going to be munched on like a snickers bar. That was a win in her cotton candy paw's book as Dolly continues to be polite, maybe they'll be lucky twice? ]

We would be thankful if you could show us where it is please. I'm still new to things here and how it works, so my apologies in advance.

[The Abomasnow smiles softly, finding Dolly absolutely adorable. The Sylveon being so tiny probably helps too.]

You're very welcome. [The Abomasnow seems pleased that Dolly is being so lovely. However, she looks over at Anasui, expecting a few words from him. Anasui bites his tongue but then just grunts.]

Please... Show us. [His tone isn't as genuine as the Abomasnow would have liked but Dolly more than makes up for it. With a small stretch, the Abomasnow turns.]

Alright. This way, you two. Kids these days...

[Anasui looks like he's about to kick the Abomasnow in the back of the head. He purses his beak together and then looks at Dolly, as if asking how does she stay so calm.]

[ Dolly's secret? Centuries of having to do negotiations and fear of having a potential Faery War breaking out again. That tends to do the trick in being calm, panic and anger has horrifying consequences, the worst ever. ]

[ Wouldn't recommend, -10/10. ]

[ Dolly goes to follow rather adorably along with Anasui and the Granny Abomasnow, being tiny and leaving snow craters has its perks.]

[ How long will it be till they reach the perfect Christmas Tree for the house? ]

Oh, for someone like you dear, it's no problem.

[Honestly, it's a good half an hour's walk, but in no time at all they're pulling up to the beautiful tree. Anasui stops as they approach it and looks up, inspecting it at all angles by moving his long neck around. The trunk is too thin to support a home for Pokemon but the branches are many, the height is good, and it looks sturdy. It's perfect.]

... We'll take it.

Without my help, of course. Now, be more careful, dears, especially when you're attacking someone. [The Abomasnow raises her hand to bid Dolly goodbye. Seems... that's that! Now they just have to knock this sucker down!]

Will do, thank you again and take care.

[ Dolly goes on her hind legs to wave her paw goodbye to Abomasnow after getting help with finding the perfect Christmas tree for Emporio and Anasui's house. It really was perfect to bring indoors as Dolly looks it over. ]

I think this is the perfect tree, ready to cut it down?

[ This was pretty exciting to pick out, it's been ages since she last went out with her siblings to get a tree for the Solstice. ]

[Anasui watches the Abomasnow carefully, waiting to see if the Abomasnow was going to jump them after distracting them. However, after she disappears into the trees, Anasui grunts and looks back to Dolly.]

Of course. This should be easy. [Anasui flexes his talons. Once again, the Espathra charges at the tree, first delivering an Aerial Ace to the trunk with his talons before quickly following it up with a Low Kick. Unlike a sturdy Abomasnow, the thin trunked tree is no match for the brutal assault and soon is crashing down before the duo.]

Alright. Let's tie the base up and saddle it on me so I can drag it back. [He's counting on you to do the knots, Dolly!]

[ Dolly is going to miss the granny Abomasnow, maybe she'll be back in spring? whatever the case, Dolly goes about watching Anasui take down that tree with fun moves. ]

[ This was incredibly educational for Dolly to watch as she thinks about trying her hand at moves soon like that. ]

[ ......]

Sure, I can get it tied up nicely. Should I use the feelers or rope for it?

[ Thank the Stellar Sea Dolly still remembered how to make sailors knots back on Tir Na Nog growing up before the tournament happened. Then again, practicing gripping with the ribbon feelers is a good exercise of sorts. ]

[Anasui will not miss the granny Abomasnow, and if she does come back in Spring then Anasui will do his best to avoid her.

The Espathra pauses and looks at the tree, doing some rough mental maths. Then, he pulls out the rope from the satchel around his neck.]

Hmm... Do the rope. Better to not strain your feelers, especially when we have tools for this task.

[ Thank Mac Lir there's rope! Dolly can rest easy that she won't have to strain the feelers...they're her only hands at the moment... ]

Awesome, I'll get this done nicely and neatly.

[ Off goes Dolly to take care of the knot work....yep it's pretty clear if Anasui has sailing knowledge that these are pretty good sailing knots she's using for the tree along with a good sailor's knot to secure it with for pulling. ]

[He wouldn't force poor Dolly to pull such a heavy tree, even if he was helping. Small friends need to be carried and supported.

Anasui watches Dolly's handiwork and nods approvingly. He's never been sailing himself but Emporio did read a book on sailing knots and passed it to him too.

Once she's done, Anasui nods to her.]

Climb on the tree or my back. Let's get this home.

[ Thank goodness for that....Dolly wouldn't have made for a great lumberjack...she'd be awful at the job. Upside, a tree is set and ready for the walk back to the Bay! ]

[ The ears perk up at the offer to ride as she climbs up onto the tree for the ride back to town. ]

[ ...Dolly definitely was getting devoured by the snow..she now knew how Curly felt in his bubble. ]

That sounds good to me, thank you Anasui.

[It's okay. If you need controlled destruction, Anasui's your guy. He'll lumberjack anything you need.

Once Dolly is on his back, Anasui will nod and then quietly start trudging the tree back. It's a long trip and it'll be a quiet one since Anasui needs to use all his strength to pull. But he'll at least thank her softly too before he moves.

It's... not bad to have someone nice around.]
