What: 2 open prompts (reviewing dreams from last month + attempting to get over her fear of ghosts) and wildcard option

a. dream review

Perhaps you're passing through the Archives, or the living hall in Skull Town when you spot a Sneasel sitting at a table furiously scrawling out various drawings on paper. Mayaka's gloves have been set aside neatly beside her for now, because she finds it easier to hold onto the charcoal pencils using her bare claws. She's experienced some weird dreams from last month. Though she doesn't remember the exact details, she's been dutifully drawing out the images that lingered in her mind upon waking up. Now, it's time to try to make sense of them. On the table you'll find the following drawings:

1. What appears to be a spaceship, though Mayaka's drawn it to look more like a truck with four wheels underneath.

2. A primordial-looking fish creature. She has given it a pair of cute, anime-sized eyes to make it look more approachable.

3. A black cat with an extra pair of eyes on its stomach. More cat-like than Mimikyu at this point.

4. The drawing she's currently working on, and struggling to capture. She's trying to remember what the alien beings in the final big nightmare looked like, though the large and erratic shapes on paper may not look recognisable to anyone. Mayaka is finding it difficult because she doesn't have an image in mind to associate with what she saw in the nightmare.

She's too caught up with this to notice if someone were to approach...

b. how to deal with ghosts

If you're wandering around Bottlecap Bay, you'll find Mayaka outside her house in the Lum Berry housing area, rooted on the spot.

Her attention is focused on a small clay sculpture she's placed in the garden of her front porch. It's a little handmade ghost figurine with a hairbow on its head. While it might look strangely cute, the more you look at it, the more you'll notice that it's two eyes seem to be gazing directly at you with an unblinking Stare™.

This is the ghost that's been chasing her in her dreams, but she's too scared to get rid of it! (Also, the fact that it was a gift to her from Catrina doesn't help!)

The Sneasel is shaking a little, and it's not from the cold weather. She's standing a safe distance away from the figurine, muttering to herself: "It's just a doll... it's just a dolll..."

(Dolls are creepy too, though??)

"Yup!" she says, before focusing on Dolly's felt birds again. She picks one up with her claw to examine it closer.

Satoshi would've loved to make something like this. He's in the school Handicrafts Club and is always sewing his own items. Though Mayaka's only good with a pen, she can appreciate crafts like these too.

They're incredibly adorable little pink, yellow, and off white felt birds that have a bit of cute blushing around the faces. Looks like Dolly went about wet felting to get the felt sheets needed for the project. There are also little heart shaped buttons on the left side of the wings that look like they were sculpted.

Dolly smiles as she watches Mayaka check out the felt birds that were made so far, it was nice to see her enjoying the craft. It honestly had been a while since Dolly last made them back in Cheddarburg. "If you'd like, would you be interested in watching how I make them?"

"Yes! I've never seen this done before."

The Sneasel reaches over to her gloves and puts them on, before tugging her chair towards to Dolly so that she can have a closer look at the handicraft.

"Awesome, I'll show you how they're made, this is going to be insanely adorable to do."

Eagerly, Dolly goes to lay out the supplies she has for crafting and how the process is done. It looks like Dolly went with the gingerbread cookie method for the birds to keep them nice and flat for holding treats from what you can tell from the pattern being used. The patterns for the body and wings are completely separated.

Intriguing, and so detailed. The Sneasel almost forgets to blink as she observes Dolly work.

"Who're you planning to give these to?"

"Oh, theses will be given to friends with some fun baked treats attached to them. I'm thinking of doing banana shortbread cookies stuffed with chocolate for this one."

Dolly smiles warmly as she explains the Valentines day plans with Mayaka.

"That sounds delicious..."

Before she can get carried away imagining how good the cookies must taste, she asks an important question: "But, how do you bake here? With your paws? That sounds complicated."

"Oh, I use the ribbon feelers. They've been handy in a pinch when baking or crafting, though the scissors are still a nightmare."

Dolly goes to extend the ribbon feelers to show that they are like limbs for her...the fabled ribbon feelers..

Mayaka reaches her claw out tentatively, to try to touch one of the ribbon feelers.

"Did learning how to control them come naturally to you?"

Woah, the ribbon feelers are like velvet soft as Dolly looks up a bit.

"I think naturally, I ended up arriving around September when Froslass took over Skull Town. I had to lay low during it and play along till we could leave for the Bay, so the ribbon feelers I got use to working with immediately. I have my maid outfit still back in my room."

She hadn't expected the ribbons to be so soft -- coupled with Dolly looking up cutely and mentioning casual possession of a maid outfit, Mayaka has to control herself from squealing at how adorable the Sylveon is!

"Cute," she says in a flat and serious tone, before clearing her throat with a soft cough.

Oh goodness, Mayaka thought Dolly was cute? Mayaka is definitely both super sweet and adorable as Dolly smiles softly at the response. Definitely, Dolly is adopting Mayaka as a younger sister.

"If you want, do you want to make a plush doll with me? It's been a while since I last made a plush doll."

"Yes!" Mayaka agrees without hesitation.

After all this time, working on her art alone, it's exciting to be able work on something creative with someone else. She wonders how it'll turn out.

"But I've not done this before. It may turn out ugly." She cautions Dolly with a slight frown.

Mayaka's a perfectionist, and the thought of making a mistake with the plush doll already begins to annoy her.

Dolly knew of the perfect starter plush doll project then that she loved pretty dearly.

"I think you'll love the project, you know of those really cute gingerbread cookies that are cut out in the shapes of Pokemon during December? The pattern is sort've like that where you draw out the shapes you want for the pattern before cutting them out on felt."

Good ol' fashioned cookie styled felt dolls to the rescue! They were something of a calming project to teach for newcomers in sewing plush dolls along with getting a good hold on stitches used when Dolly was still at Cheddarburg.

Hearing that it involves drawing and cutting out felt, Mayaka gains a bit more confidence that she'll do it correctly.

"Alright, let's get started!"

What started out as very serious business to figure out the things that have been on her mind has turned into a lighthearted craft session with Dolly. Perhaps, that's what Mayaka really needed in the end.
