"Understood." Robin would nod at Anasui but. Solid coffin, no neck.

She gets an idea. One of the most important skills she picked up as a Straw Hat is knowing how to translate things so they make sense under more... interesting thought processes. She turns to Catrina and smiles as sweetly as she can.

"Catrina, maybe you should stay close? You wouldn't want to get hurt or drop your chocolates before we find Froslass-sama."

Catrina looks at Robin, then the precious box of chocolates, and then right back at Robin again as she considers this option. It was true...Catrina needed her chocolates to be safe for the ever lovely and perfect Froslass!

What would Froslass think of her if the chocolates gets smashed or something!? Simply, this will not do at all one bit!

"Fine...but tell me if you see Froslass! She's hard to miss as she's insanely gorgeous and majestic."

Anasui keeps looking around, though he is rather impressed how quickly Robin dealt with Catrina. Honestly, 10/10 wrangling skills, Robin.

"Yes, we should all be alert for Froslass. That is the point of this expedition," Anasui mutters. He then goes into serious mode as he doesn't see hide nor hair of the illusive ghost.

"It got distinctly colder last time Froslass was around... maybe we should try the colder areas of this region. Maybe consider going up the mountains to see if she returned there."

The pressure of making the best of impressions for Froslass and for once how hard Catrina worked for that box of chocolates was enough to get Robin to wrangle the candle creature.

Though....Anasui made a very VERY strong point about her beloved Froslass wanting to be where its super cold...She must go there to the freezing cold region of the mountain.

"FUCK! My girl needs a cold place once we bring her back to the Bay!"

"Isn't the Spire quite cold? I would think you would want her to move in with you, after all."

Mightyena would probably have some choice words about that suggestion, but we'll burn that bridge when we come to it. Robin looks up at the mountain path.

"It is a fittingly dramatic place for someone who wishes to be royalty." Robin agrees. She gets the same feeling looking up the mountain as she did back on Sabaody, looking up at the Red Line and the holy land of Mary Geoise.

"She also sorta brings the cold with her, as we established. Don't worry about her comfort. Just focus on the mission and finding her," Anasui grunts.

Anasui glances at how far away the mountains are and then down at the tiny candle. He sighs, annoyed, but then bends over. Without waiting for permission, he picks up Catrina and puts her on his back.

"How fast can you move?" He asks Robin. "If you're slow, climb on. Otherwise, keep up."

Catrina was easy enough to pick up and place onto Anasui's back, mostly because she barely weighs anything more than a glass of heavy whipping cream. Upside (or downside if he knew what was going through that wretched candle's mind), Catrina goes along for it, clearly Anasui has promoted himself to valiant steed for Catrina to ride on!

There's nothing more romantic than riding in on a murder bird, RIGHT!?

"Shit, yer right, come on Robin, climb on the valiant murder bird with me!"

Robin, not wanting to make Anasui deal with the weight of a large sarcophagus, floats on top of him while holding on, as though she were a balloon tied to him. Regardless, she floats as if she is riding on top of him side-saddle.

"Thank you, Anasui-san." Robin smiles as non-threateningly as she can, which is still not much.

Anasui is not at all bothered by the sinister-looking smile or the inane thoughts of Catrina. Instead, he cracks his neck and flexes.

"Then hold on. I'm fast if I'm just sprinting in a straight line. If you fall off, I won't stop for you." Anasui is tired of all the idiocy. He was tired after they got stuck in the damn ice because of Catrina chasing some stupid icicle. He was tired when Catrina nearly fell into the frozen lake chasing chocolates and they had to scramble to get her out. He was sick and tired of this cold. Anasui is frustrated and since he can't take it out on his teammates and there's nothing to dismantle, Anasui takes it out on the ice.

And he runs. He runs fast. Espathra can hit speeds up to 200 km/h and Anasui doesn't hit that speed only because he's ascending the mountain. Hold on, ladies. It's gonna be a bumpy ride!

If Catrina had a full set of braincells, this would be pretty alarming speeds for a candle to be going at. Alas, Catrina is well Catrina as she holds on and makes uncanny sounds like a hyena mixed with an adrenaline seeker as she yips with some periodic maniacal laughter. Clearly this weirdo is having the time of her life!

The snowy and icy landscape blazes by with each step (or stride given ostrich legs...the power of the murder bird is an amazing one for sure.) If this had been an 80s montage, there would've been an epic musical score or song to go with it like the Neverending Story. Alas, this group had to deal with Catrina providing the music. Good news, she's an excellent opera singer! Her opera career is still intact!

Robin is also calmly enjoying the ride, despite the blistering air now hitting the group at high speeds. She's grown accustomed to this kind of acceleration from Franky's Coup de Burst, now with much less cola usage!

"You have a lovely singing voice." Robin says, when there's a reasonable gap in the singing for compliments. "I think you would like my friend Brook, he's a skeleton musician."

Robin wonders if Brook would turn into a ghost type too. Surely there's not a Pokémon with an afro as impressive as his, right?

Anasui can't hear the conversation on his back but it doesn't matter because he doesn't really care. He just powers on non-stop, all the way to the top. Anasui knows they're going the right way because it gets colder and colder, and soon the smattering of snow becomes a gale force, and the air is as thin as Anasui's patience.

At least their target is here.

Froslass.

Except this isn't the Froslass Anasui remembers. She's taller, more elegant, and she radiates power. Ordinarily, Anasui would try stand back and try get some insight on Froslass' change of form but there's nothing here that can provide cover and definitely sees them before they see her.

"Keep your heads. Something is wrong," Anasui says to the two ghost-types.

Okay so Froslass was having her monster girl era and got taller, somehow. Catrina can dig it! Froslass was definitely looking stunning though as Catrina's little orb eyes somehow got bigger upon gazing at Froslass.

Catrina keeping her head and something's wrong with Froslass? HAHAHHAA!

Froslass's only a little moody! Likely bored out of her mind being up in the mountains without any performances or game shows being held, Catrina would be too if she was stuck in a situation like that. Of course Catrina goes to do the most stupid thing imaginable as she scurries off of Anasui.

"MY BELOVED FROSLASS! WE CAME TO RESCUE YOU!"

CATRINA NO!!!

Robin can see Froslass charging up an attack that Catrina is completely oblivious to, a sphere of spectral energy forming in front of her. She needs to act quickly before the love of Catrina's afterlife sends her to the great beyond.

"Quatro Fleur!" Robin announces, flinging herself off of Anasui's back with her left arms as she reaches to grab Catrina with the others. "Side Change!"

Robin about-faces in midair while opening the lid of her sarcophagus body, slamming the lovestruck candle inside with as much care as she can while still moving quickly. She just barely manages to close the lid before Froslass's Shadow Ball connects with her back, completely knocking the wind out of her and sending her careening to the snowy ground below.

Good thing Robin is there. Anasui's tired from the run up the mountain and he can't react as quick as he could have normally. He can only watch as Robin stretches out and scoops Catrina into her body, before getting blasted to the side.

"Shit!" Anasui curses, watching Mega Froslass charge up a Shadow Ball He wants to Ally Swap but he doesn't know if it will work for both Pokemon or if he'd only swap places with one of his targets (and he wants Catrina in his stomach even less than he wants to be trapped in a sarcophagus) so instead Anasui takes a deep breath and moves.

"Diver Down!" Underneath his feathers, Anasui's body glows and the man lets loose a mesmerising Lumina Crash, almost like a flashbang. Mega Froslass winces and drops her attack as she's momentarily blinded, but doesn't relent. Instead, with eyes closed, she raises her arms and icicles spear up through the rock around them, trapping them in an arena.

"Guess she doesn't want to talk and really wants to fight," Anasui growls. "Fine by me!"

Catrina was indeed snatched up by Robin and sent tumbling in the rather odd dimensional space that was the sarcophagus that was apparently Robin!? If Anasui has Luxray's Xray vision, he'd be treated to the sight of Catrina being bounced around like a super bouncy ball inside when Robin got blasted.

"DAMN IT LET ME OUTTA HERE! I NEED TO CALM MY DEVASTATINGLY ATTRACTIVE CRUSH!!!" Catrina screamed before getting bounced around again, still safe from harm, but good grief...her mouth, that awful mouth of hers...

Wait...Maybe there was a way to save her absolutely smoking hot monster of a crush from being completely and utterly obliterated into kingdom come by a murder ostrich! Wax elbow was pointed and good grief, moment there's a rough enough bump, it sent Catrina flying towards the lid to break out...maybe! Catrina was a very determined candle with no survival instincts whatsoever.

HANG IN THERE FROSLASS! YOUR AWFUL CANDLE SHOULD BE WITH YOU IN A MOMENT!!

There is something deeply disconcerting about having someone in your body who desperately wants to escape, Robin realizes, regretting her decision deeply. The lid holds, mostly because Robin is still face down. She floats back upright, staring down Froslass.

"We will have to make this quick." Robin says to Anasui, neither wanting Catrina to escape or to prolong her self-imposed body horror. Robin launches at Froslass, all four arms a flurry of Shadow Claws, dodging around further attacks as best she can and holding her lid closed whenever she feels Catrina going for another escape.

"Don't need to tell me twice," Anasui says back to Robin, staring up at the towering mega Pokemon. Froslass' winces as Robin's Shadow Claws dig at her but then her eyes flash dangerously and she stretches out her arms. Anasui frowns, hearing the winds whip up behind the group, and he lunges forward, narrowly avoiding an Icy Wind.

"She's faster than last time," Anasui calls out, scowling. "Keep on your guard." Anasui can see Froslass charging up another Shadow Ball, and he runs in close to Froslass to grab her attention, using Aerial Ace right on her. Froslass hisses and at the last moment changes her target to Anasui, hitting him dead on. Anasui grimaces in pain but staggers back.

"Damn bitch-" Anasui starts before he winks out of existence, falling in a rift that had suddenly opened underneath him.

Catrina is back being bounced around in the vast....whatever is inside of Robin, is it spirit fog or the vast, infinite expanse of space...Catrina is living up her best body horror lifestyle at this point! Welp, time to make it hell for Robin as Catrina attempts again but...

The fuck is going on out there!? Catrina can't see a thing, but she sure can hear things. "Shit, the hell is going on out there!?" Catrina yells out from inside of the Sarcopha-Prison called Robin.

There's a bunch of high pitched screams going on inside of Robin from Catrina being...well Catrina.

Distracted by the new meaning of internal screaming, Robin takes another Shadow Ball and is almost knocked into a rift, but is saved by something flying out of the rift and hitting her in the head, sending her spinning through the air as she hears another scream that hadn't been in the fight before.

Kinger was not expecting to see Froslass today, or to be suddenly falling through a rift to a snowy mountain. Face to face with a Mega Evolved version of the ghostly queen, Kinger does all that he knows how to do:

"AGH!" Kinger screams an Astonish at Froslass, stunning her briefly. "Oh hello! Do you want to hear my song again?"

Robin grabs the mushroom and throws him back through the rift to town to safety, and lands back on the ground to recover briefly before getting back in the fight.

For a brief second, Anasui's stunned, seeing the sun shining down on the mountain with neither his teammates or Mega Froslass in sight. Instead, there's a rift to his right where he can see... Froslass looking into a rift similar to the one he was looking in right then and there.

"What the-" but the rift is gone the next moment, and cracks in reality are forming all around Anasui. Not one to let his guard down, Anasui trusts his instincts and uses Light Screen on himself before leaps into a portal, eager to get back into the fight.

As Mega Froslass is charging up a second Shadow Ball, Anasui appears right behind her. The bird frowns and immediately uses Ally Swap to take the hit for Robin (and by extension, Catrina). Anasui skids back from the impact of the blow but with the Light Screen he remains standing.

"Your attacks hit harder! You strike, I'll support you!" Anasui yells to Robin as he shoots off another Lumina Crash to drop the Mega Froslass' concentration. "We have to wrap this up quick before there's more portal bullshit!"

Catrina, oh no, Catrina is still bouncing around inside of Robin, making unearthly sounds as she tries to escape. WHAT IN THE SEVEN HELLS WAS THIS EVEN!?

Catrina had to get to her beloved Froslass and damn it all, this candle was determined as hell.

Come on lucky elbow, bust through that barrier and reach the ever beloved Froslass! GOTTA SAVE FROSLASS FROM HERSELF WITH THE POWER OF LOOOOOVEEE (or at least what can barely qualify for it, who knows.) If Catrina had a conscious, she'd be apologizing profusely for the rough housing going on inside, but alas...this was Catrina Anasui and Robin was dealing with.

"FROSLASSSSSSSS!"

Robin reels back with all four of her arms, ready to deal a finishing blow to Froslass, her arms radiating with spectral power.

"Quatro Fleur..."

Then Robin gets hit by an attack she wasn't expecting- from the inside. The sarcophagus lid finally flies off and Catrina flies into the air elbow-first. The force of it knocks Robin backwards, away from the Rogue Mega Queen and her unhinged suitor.

"Catrina!" Robin yells, reaching out a hand to try and grab her, but she's just barely out of reach.

Anasui hisses loudly as he tanks another blow for Robin but, thankfully, he's still standing. The bird turns to Froslass to try and keep her attention, and he can see Robin behind Froslass about to end this. He holds his breath and-

"What? Catrina!" Anasui yells, eyes wide.

Froslass turns, eyes wide. However, she's already haggard from the onslaught from Robin and Anasui, so she doesn't have the strength to counter. Instead, she instinctively catches Catrina, though she has... no idea what's going on.

Catrina didn't see the confused look on Froslass's face as she catches the weirdo candle, all Catrina saw was cotton candy pink clouds in a tequila sunrise sky with rose petals blowing about! HER BELOVED IS HOLDING CATRINA!

Oh this is the moment! CATRINA CAN FEEL IT IN HER WICK!!! TIME TO MAKE THAT SAPPY AND SOGGY LOVE CONFESSION!

"I LOVE YOU, FROSLASS!! PLEASE, NO MORE!"

Catrina does a dramatic swoon in Froslass's arms...

Froslass is stunned, and reels back in reaction, shrinking down and collapsing to one hypothetical ghostly knee as waves of energy flow off of her. All Robin can do is stare on in complete bafflement as Catrina somehow against all odds manage to melt the heart of this icy queen.

Robin turns to Anasui. "Is that really...?" She doesn't even know how to finish the thought.

"I have no idea," Anasui replies immediately, looking past Robin to stare at the ghostly duo. He purses his beak together, unsure what to make of things.

Then, Anasui roughly throws up his wings, making the bird-approximation of throwing his hands up in exasperation. Whatever! He's seen weirder. He's just irritated that Catrina got... exactly what she wanted the whole time.

However, while irate, Anasui does notice that they're suddenly not alone. Now that the Snow warning was clearing, he can see other groups he recognises. Had they all been fighting Froslass too?

"...We'll figure out what happened after. For now we have to decide... do we finish the job or bring her back to Skull Town for interrogation?"

"....YOU FUCKING LET MY GIRL FROSLASS LIVE DAMN IT!"

That was all the input Catrina needed to contribute there upon hearing that question from Anasui as she clutches the unconscious Froslass (or at least attempts it, there's only so much stubby wax arms can do).

It takes Catrina a moment or two to even register that there are others here...where the hell did all these weirdoes come from anyways!?

"...SHIT WERE THEY ALL WATCHING THIS!?"
