[She steps back to give Flowey some space, and decides to work on another part of the railings. If Spinarak has been lingering nearby to check if they're actually doing what's been assigned to them, the spider will finally leave them alone.

Mayaka doesn't fully understand what Emporio just said. Flowey can't feel things? Best not to poke at it now, as curious as she is.]

Alright, alright. [She says with a light sigh to break the tension.]

How did you do that, anyway? Changing your appearance and voice?

[No, no, his point is that Flowey maybe CAN feel now, which is probably a hell of an experience after god knows how long without-

Ahhh it doesn't matter right now. Well, it does, but it doesn't all the same. Rather than hop right into the work though, he opts to make use of his own super power at hand which is having arms that also aren't poisonous.

Which is to say that Flowey is rather abruptly getting a hug, even if it's likely from behind. Scolding from Toriel wasn't the vibe he was intending to bring, but somehow that might be the feeling now more than ever.]

...It's okay if it does happen again, [He says.] Everyone trips on the road sometimes.

[And god knows he's seen worse, in his opinion.

But, back to work. Mayaka's asking a good question now that they're actually putting stuff together again, and admittedly, Emporio's curious to hear it.]

[Flowey freezes up. When was the last time...? Was it with a certain someone before he came here?

... it's very different, and yet very similar. Emporio is still warm. Flowey thought he would feel cold, like a lizard. He does have scales like a lizard. The biggest difference from back then is that he can't hug him back.

It's embarrassing that this is happening in front of Mayaka. She already seems to view him as younger and in need of coddling. Did she forget that he's senior to her in the Guild and gave her advice regarding combat training and overcoming her fear of ghosts?

On second thought, he doubts it. Maybe it's because he was 'watching out for her' (not like he cares, of course) that she's trying to do the same in return. How quaint.

A second passes. Flowey lets out a breath, then wriggles out of the embrace.]

[When Flowey turns around, his face is a carefully constructed smile again.]

Neat, isn't it? I could do it back before I came here, but lost it for a while since I've got a hard shell! Then SINTO hit me with glitter and, well...

[It's like his face melts and molds itself like putty. The process happens very quickly, which either makes it more or less disgusting. When it's done, he still looks like a Sunkern, but his face looks more like a Sneasel. Specifically, Mayaka.]

I'm Mayaka! I have skills that I'm too embarrassed to share! [He says, in a near-perfect impersonation of her voice.]

[Just as Mayaka's enjoying the warm fuzzy feeling of seeing the two boys share a hug, Flowey has to pull another fast one on her.

Except this time, she's trying not to take it so seriously. She doesn't like it, but she doesn't hate it either. Especially when there's some truth behind the jab. Why is he so sharp? Regardless, she's too stubborn to be intimidated by his attempts to push her away.]

Urgh! Rio-chan, I don't sound like that do I? [She's more exasperated than angry.]

[He won't press to make that hug stick around, don't you worry Flowey. Instead he'll watch as the Sunkern works his magic. And it really does feel a little like magic!

W-Well, he's got your face and intonation down, at least..!!

[Flowey cackles to himself. Even Emporio has to admit that he was spot-on.

(There were far meaner things he could've said in Mayaka's voice, but he's going to be on good behavior. ... For now.)]

Hee hee... all right, all right. I won't impersonate anyone without good reason. But just think of the possibilities that it could have for guild quests!

[Tricking enemy Pokemon, for instance.

... Speaking of guild quests, he should get to work.]

[She still can't bring herself to fully trust Flowey's words. But at least now she some ammo for the next time he does prank someone. And she can't deny that it might have its uses.]

Let's get this finished and go for snacks! [Mayaka decides. Food is always a good motivator, right?]
