Alright, that's it. Apologies-

[And she's just. Going to gently but firmly situate herself so Siffrin is supported by her weight? Barbs are flat against her body, as much as she can make them, and he shouldn't get poisoned again unless he really flails and causes a fuss.

Which of course he's entitled to do, if he's being manhandled by a tiny Nidoran.]

I'd carry you like a cat carries kittens if I was big enough, but this will have to do - you're going to the clinic now.

[They don't! Have a healer on hand! Need to go to the chirurgeons!]

[Siffrin flinches violently - which Firoza would be very justified in assuming is out of fear of her stinging them again, or due to the pain, but is actually just a response to unexpected physical contact. They'd like to back away, but right now they can't really do that and stay upright. Which doesn't stop them from hopefully testing their balance on their other legs, but... nope!]

[Continuing to insist they're fine is going to fall a little bit flat right now, but they do force out a,] But we still need to bring back more mushrooms!

The health and safety of the group is worth much more than a surplus of these mushrooms.

[It isn't even a question in her mind. These are important, but the integrity of the party is what's most important. You can't forge ahead all alone.

And I am not in the habit of leaving someone behind when they've been hurt. Especially if it's because of something I did.

[Siffrin's tail lashes - apparently that's still working!] I'm - I'd be fine while we grabbed some more. [For a different definition of fine now! They're moving the goalposts. They wouldn't die while they grabbed more mushrooms, how about that.]

[The spores are making them want to fight back even more, but they're starting to feel weirdly nauseous now? ...and they'd feel bad getting too snippy at her, when she's already blaming herself on her own initiative.]

[Not to mention that even if she bit(? stung?) them, they kicked her first.]

[So instead they're just kind of stewing. They're not really fighting back, but they're also not really cooperating with Firoza trying to drag them back to town... (Maybe if she grabbed a few quick pawfuls of mushrooms, just to satisfy them?)]

[But meanwhile, they do seem to have finally realized something:] Are you... venomous??

[Haha, stop to grab mushrooms, that's funny. You don't stop when someone's in need of healing and the healers aren't around.

Siffrin can feel her try not to bristle at that question. Not to be angry, or offended - but there's an undercurrent of worry to her voice when she answers.]

I - um. Apparently so, yes. But, I've never tried to poison anyone on purpose.

[Even as she says that...did...did she do so on accident?

Oh gods. Oh, gods. Her breathing starts to quicken a bit, and she picks up the pace.]

[Oh.] Great.

[Okay, maybe they should be worried about getting back to town faster,]

[Here's a question for Firoza, though: did she lose track of where they were?]

That sounds sarcastic.

[For a blessing? No, she's been getting used to the forested areas and can usually keep track of unusual landmarks - we should be fine getting back to town.]
