CLOSED: OVER THE BRINK
Who: III, Guilmon, and Umemiya
What: Over the Brink
Where: The foggy beach
When: Sometime in the middle of April
Warnings: Fog induced hallucinations and paranoia, possible Pokémon typical violence
[III, for his part, was desperate to help out more after what happened in February. Still, something going wrong with the teleportation was not what he had in mind when he signed up for this.]
Okay, let me just... [III tries to warp out (maybe he can get back to the bay?), only to simply flicker in place a bit. When the flickering stops, he's looking noticeably nauseous, swallowing hard before finding his words again.]
...Teleportation's broken. How's... how's everyone else holding up?

Giru...
[This is... not how it was supposed to go, he thinks. Teleportation shouldn't be broken either!]
Guilmon's okay, but what about you? If your teleportation doesn't work, does that mean you're sick?

[Umemiya is wearing his gakuran jacket and a small pack with some berries over it. He adjusts the straps as he glances around at the area they've landed in.]
Hard to tell which way's which in this fog, though.

[At Umemiya's comment that his aura sense is working, III perks up a bit, relieved that something at least is going right.]
That's good. Maybe... [He cautiously, briefly reaches out to his general surroundings with his emotion sensing abilities, ready to stop the in the event it goes wrong.] ...My emotion sense seems to work too. That's good, especially with all this fog.
[III gestures vaguely at the fog, indicating it in general.]

[Guilmon presses his nose to the ground, sniffing.]
Maybe we can follow smells? It'd be easier if Guilmon had something to work with, though.
[A scrap of clothing, shedding... Oh well.]

[Umemiya thinks a moment.]
Can we track back toward the sea to get us in the direction of the Spire? Or maybe to the types of trees that grow in the Canopy?
no subject
...Tracking along the sea might be our best bet. Hopefully we're still on the same coast as the Bay at least...
[Uneasy with all this fog, III prods around for other Pokémon a bit with his emotion sense. Nothing hostile in the immediate area, as far as he can tell, but it's always good to avoid running blindly into trouble.]
...The good news is I don't think there's anything hostile around. Hopefully it'll stay that way.

[But for now, it seems like their best plan of action, so he starts sniffing along. He won't move too far, though, just so they don't lose sight of each other.]
no subject
[Guilmon's sense of smell means he might sense danger coming from behind faster. It keeps the smaller, perhaps more vulnerable III between them, as they start walking.]
no subject
...What did you say? [He's very clearly startled, fully aware he's never shared his true name (Michael, not a number but an actual name) here before and unsure what's happening.]
no subject
[Guilmon blinks a few times, but... that fog's worrisome. So worrisome that he tries to make his tail flame shine brighter, just in case!]
no subject
[Well, this sure is working out well.]
