JJBA CLINIC EXPERIENCE
WHO: Anasui, Emporio, and YOU...Potentially all at once!
WHAT: Anasui is treating patients (and harassing visitors), Emporio is Recovering, and later there's BASEBALL
WHERE: The Clinic, and the Beach
WHEN: Late April/Early May
WARNINGS: References to the prior Heavy Quest
[YOUR DOCTOR, UNFORTUNATELY]
For someone who supposedly doesn't care about the well-being of others, Anasui volunteers at the clinic frequently. Most people know they can find him there if they can't find him in the library and you will see him there as usual.
However, over the last few days, he seems more pissed than usual. His already poor bedside manner seemed worse, and patients and visitors alike will notice Anasui irately clicking his tongue as he comes over to deliver medicine or do regular check ups. He may even mutter 'oh great. You again.' But if his grumbling about the teleporters is anything to go by, it may not be your fault.
"Fucking hell... Asking us to find what's different with newcomers? Why don't they fucking find what's wrong with their stupid teleporters?"
Occasionally, he'll slam cupboards closed or hiss as he's forced to visit a few patients. If you're coming to visit someone, you may see Anasui glaring at you unblinkingly as you walk in.
"What do you want?"
[CLINIC BUDDIES]
It's not exactly small news that Emporio's been admitted to the clinic.
...Again.
His team was, reportedly, carried in from beyond the cliffs by way of Robin and Agnes- they were unconscious, a scene not at all unlike the last heavy quest Emporio participated in, and ultimately they were handed over to Dr. Denne and the rest on stretchers. When, precisely, all three woke up is perhaps largely irrelevant.
What matters is that eventually Emporio does wake up, and proceeds to have a heck of a crisis of identity, before settling back against his cot to just try and muddle his way through the way he does most things. He's really not changed that much, if he thinks about it hard enough. This is still basically the same shape body, even if he has to keep blinking auras out of his eyes, and also figure out how to replace the bag he'd more or less used his old helmet for.
But while Emporio adjusts to this (and also to being bloody huge compared to prior), others will probably want to visit. And...unlike Anasui, who absolutely tracked him down before the boy awoke, it might have been easy to miss the kid.
If only because, as noted, he's a lot bigger now. ...Roughly five times bigger in fact.
It appears Emporio has evolved, and that might be causing a little confusion when it comes to locating his cot in the clinic.
[OH! THAT'S A BASEBALL!]

The air in the beach is tense. It's thick, heavy, and nearly choking as two giants (well, Pokemon larger than 5ft) stare each other down. Despite the ghost-type Marowak formerly known as Emporio the Cubone being literally five times bigger than he used to be, he still looks small next to Anasui, especially when the bird straightens his neck and puffs up his feathers. Anasui is bristling, and if the dark look in his eye is any indication, he's pissed off.
Emporio holds, in his hand, a long bone club. There's no flames on it- that would involve scratching it against the almost star-shaped mark on his brow- but rather, he holds it over his shoulder, the way a baseball would be positioned.
The marowak swallows. On the one hand, Anasui told him they were going to be playing baseball.
On the other, it really didn't feel like an offer so much as a threat, and he's not sure what to do about that.
Another swallow.
"...So....where are the baseballs..?"
Emporio's question is unfortunately unanswered- even if an audience has already gathered.
Anasui doesn't say anything. One moment, he's staring down Emporio, the next, he's moving. A grey and purple blob of shadow forms in his mouth and he shoots it straight at Emporio. Emporio gasps and ducks out of the way and Anasui snarls.
"Stay still or I'll make you." It'd be nice if there was context but it seems Emporio doesn't even have that. Anasui just charges up another shadow ball and fires it again. "Emporio!"
"YOU SAID THIS WAS BASEBALL-!!" is all the Marowak shouts in turn- and, for anyone watching, one wonders if they'll have to step in for that to actually happen.

"Well yeah, I suppose I would look really small..."
Oh..oh dear, he's still coming to terms with becoming super tall all of a sudden...
"But that's besides the point, I brought you some homemade cookies to enjoy."
The ribbon feeler goes to extend upwards towards Emporio with the promised bag of fresh baked cookies to enjoy...Emporio deserves some cookies to ease into the fact he's suddenly hogging all the height in the Bay.

Emporio clings to his blanket. He's doing an awful good job of delivering the reminder that, at the end of the day, he is very much still a child.
Which is helped a bit by the fact that as fresh baked cookies approach, the boy's eyes light up.
"Y- ...Really? You brought cookies?!" Well, obviously yes really, they're right here but-
"...Thanks..."
He's not going to cry over it, but honestly it's a bit tempting.

Dolly gives Emporio the bag of freshly made chocolate chip cookies with a smile to match their warmth. It's a very nice warm bag of cookies Emporio receives.
"I sure did, figured you needed something nice afterwards.."
Oh those are definitely watery eyes Emporio has right there as Dolly notices.
"Hey, it's alright to cry, you've earned every single right to cry after what you went through."
Sure, Dolly doesn't have the full picture of the fiasco, but she does understand that it was a rough time for all those involved.

With shaking, mitt-like hands, Emporio takes the cookies. It's something that would go best with milk, but he's not about to say that about a gift. Instead, he sniffs.
"I- I just. Nothing hurts, or...or feels like it hurts, but at the same time it's just so weird...My balance is off, everything is in the wrong place..."
And it's not even subtly so!

The cookies were given, but the ribbon feeler hasn't been retracted. It's there for Emporio to hold if he needed a hand to squeeze so to speak while talking about it.
Poor Emporio, he didn't get to have the slow luxury of a normal human puberty to adjust to the new changes. The kid was just thrown into a suddenly much bigger body with different functions that he now has to relearn. It really wasn't subtle at all!
Dolly wasn't going to give advice or tell him that it's alright, she sat there being quiet and listening to what Emporio has to say. It was important, he's still a child, to learn how to express his emotions and not have anyone interject on what he's conveying.

Emporio for now doesn't squeeze the feeler- though he doesn't push it away either, so if Dolly ultimately wraps it around his hand, then he'll accept it. It might even help, given Sylveon related abilities!
But he's got cookies, and he's got friends, at least, and really that's more than he would've asked for in the first place.
The problem is, he doesn't super have anything else to say...yet, at least. He just quiets, awkwardly, which unfortunately means Dolly might have to bring something up to talk about instead.
"...thanks for coming," he does ultimately say after a bit, but that's certainly not conversation!

Gently, Dolly wraps a ribbon feeler around the oven mitten hand of Emporio. He definitely needs that Sylveon based abilities right about now poor kid.
"Emporio, just know that regardless of the new body and height, you're still the same Emporio everyone adores and get to enjoy childhood. If you want, once you're out of the clinic, do you want to see Bigby for the training grounds?"
It was the closest Dolly could think of as something for physical therapy after the surprise evolution Emporio went through.

But at least Emporio can have a nice, comforting ribbon hold. The marowak closes his eyes for a brief moment, and tries to simply breathe some calm into himself.
"I...I know. It's not like anything about my self feels different, but..."
Hmm. Training with Bigby? He considers it for a moment, frowning with thought.
"...Maybe later? ...I think I need to get through basic mobility first..."

Dolly holds Emporio's hand gently with the ribbon feeler. So far, Emporio is doing incredibly good with his calm down breathing, good deep breath in and deep breath out.
....Oh, Dolly needs to explain the thought process behind the training field suggestion.
"That's what I was thinking we could use the training field for, we could see if we can set up a form of physical therapy to help with going through basic mobility."
Dolly is also considering making play-doh to see if it helps with hand mobility. It is a simple enough project to do in an afternoon.

...Which means it's probably worth a shot, isn't it? "....I guess that's a good point... ...do they have much for that there already you think?"

"I think so, I can definitely ask Bigby or Akechi if we could set up one of the obstacle tracks for it. The grounds there should be ideal to walk on rather than the sands on the beach." Dolly pauses to think a little more on what else could be of use. "I could also make salt dough to use for hand mobility exercises too, it doesn't cause a lot of stress and should be good for rebuilding hand strength."
