Odile (Peak Performance)

[Siffrin is too on edge about the fog to think about it right away, and being teleported past the initial cliff climb and to the entrance of the peak area puts off the realization for just a little bit longer. But once they're there and Siffrin finds - to their great relief - that the fog has dissipated, they look up at the towering rock pillars... and at Odile... and it suddenly hits them.]

[Uh oh. Did no one ever tell Polteageist about Odile and heights...?]

[...]

[They guess they're mapping out the base of the area, and not any of the stone plateaus! It's in the shade of all the plants, so maybe it's for the better anyway - some protection from the summer heat.]

[They bounce ahead a few steps, trying to draw Odile's attention before she thinks to look behind them and down the cliff drop back to the Bay. They're going to have to go down those stairs eventually, but that's a later problem. Maybe she can hold on to their tail? For now, they cheerfully announce:] I'll lead the way, since I've been here before!

[As if it were ever in question.]

Cater (Sometimes You Wanna Go~)

[It's an unspoken agreement even before they set out: they're not bringing back anything sweet. Or at least not anything more sugary than the sort of grassy sweetness you get with certain plants. After their last (surprisingly beverage-related) quest together, it's a given!]

[It took some asking around before they figured out something that would be worth tracking down, though. A dozing Komala gave them careful instructions for something she found in the woods a few weeks ago; now Siffrin circles the heavily fruited bush, sniffing it dubiously.]

It doesn't smell like coffee.

[And okay, listen, they know the coffee smell is really from the roasted beans... but they kind of thought that with their Shinx nose, they'd get a hint of it from the plant too? Is this really the right one...]
