It's a good thing that the Lum berries get straight to work; Emporio likely would have combusted from how overwhelmed he was otherwise. Whoever brought him to his new dwelling and made sure he was settled will have already seen that for themselves- from muttered comments like 'I have a bed??' to 'There's so much space...' to 'There's even a real window...'.
Considering what the citizens of the town would have observed even before the boy was quickly recruited by Polteageist however, maybe it was expected. A human who's spent his life afraid of humans? What a thought.
Some other newcomers have been quick to chat to the little one as well of course. As such, Emporio has been putting together thorough notes in addition to helping with Perrin- he was the one to suggest the dragonite look into a slate in the first place- and so Emporio turns in additional, candid observations. Who's familiar with pokemon and why. What similarities exist between various homelands thus far.
What the actual Arceus a 'cat' is-
He takes great care in putting things in terms other pokemon can properly refer to, often asking others in the guild for advice. And that's the other thing.
Provided they prove he's a welcome presence, it's the locals that Emporio seems quicker to connect to. They're the ones he's shyly asked for recommendations, ideas, thoughts. They're even the ones that wear him down into talking about his nightmares first, for all that the mimikyu in Oran manages the same.
They're the ones who, after finally pulling out that deep worry of his, said 'Talk to Polteageist.'
By the time Emporio approaches Polteageist- no, perhaps because of this timing- he's managed to only barely free himself of his nightmares.
(Or at least, the supernaturally caused ones)
"...The nightmares..."
A correction. Because Emporio has had nightmares since the day he arrived- this is about the nightmares that everyone started having, in February. "...The symptoms from the recent nightmares stopped after speaking to other Pokemon about the source. With limited sources so far, it seems a connecting thread might be self-doubt, and insecurity, but I can't be certain without comparing more data. I..."
There is a pause. A hand twitches to hold his helmet- that he was wearing it when he came in is already a strong sign of his anxiety.
"...I need to ask. If... ...When a way home is found for the ones that appeared here..."
He swallows. Looks to the ground, because even if he's admitted this core fear at last, it doesn't make it easier to seek answers.
