[The answer is a hard 'yes'.] ...definitely a trap...but I can't see or smell anyone...

[The other two have him beat there.]

I hear it... I just have no idea what's being said... [Anasui begins to walk more carefully. His already quiet footsteps become near-silent, given Anasui is actively trying to not be notice. He carries the other two towards the ruins.

It feels like they're approaching people, since the voices get louder as they approach, but Anasui still can't make out the words. He doesn't say anything but he starts moving to the closest building, unless someone points him another way.]

[Firepaw's fur stands on end, and he opens his mouth to try and taste the air. He can't smell.. anyone, around here, even though they sound so close. More tricks from the Ghost Pokemon, probably - it has to be, right?

Wait, no, he does smell someone.]

Anasui, can we go toward that den-clearing? [Does that make sense? He hesitates, and points a paw toward a courtyard.] That thing. I smell someone over there.

[Maybe the source of the voices, maybe not. It's a smell he doesn't recognize at all.]

Den-clearing..?

[It takes him a moment, but as he looks around Anasui he realizes what Firepaw means.] The ruins...

..I think that's a good idea. If that's where the culprit is, it would be the perfect place to hide...everyone keep your eyes open.

...our ears sure won't help...

[Anasui frowns. He has no idea what Firepaw just asked him but thankfully Emporio translates before he has to ask. With only a slight nod of his head, the bird turns his head towards the courtyard and he starts walking there.

The bird's steps are slow and careful. It feels wrong here but what they have no choice but to move forward, away from ruins that have decayed beyond recognition. Anasui purses his beak together as the voices get louder and louder as he approaches the courtyard. He's got a bad feeling about this.

A feeling that's right on the money. Anasui tenses as the entirety of the courtyard suddenly goes silent. There's not even a whisper. It is still...

Until the ground shakes.]

Fuck!

[The clearing between the dens... he's smart and knows so many words (lie).

Firepaw tenses up as soon as he feels that rumble - he was already on high alert when the noises stopped, nothing about this feels correct. And then, the ground falls away from under them - Firepaw lets out a yowl and tries to jump off of Anasui's head, but he just ends up tumbling further away as they all hit the ground.

At least, being a cat, he's able to land (painfully) on his paws. He pushes himself up, shaking off his pelt and looking around at the cave they've ended up in. It's... huge, large enough that even his keen eyes can't see the walls.]

Are you guys okay?

AAAH-!

[The fall is sudden...but because of his position, it's easy enough to prepare for it. Not only does Emporio manage to land safely, but by sliding off Anasui willingly in the process, he lands perfectly on his feet.]

Guh...I knew there were pitfalls here, but among ruins like these..?

[He shakes himself.] ...I'm alright...what about you, Anasui?

[It's dark in here. He thinks so far they should be safe, but...

...hold on.] Ah...

[Are those 'lights', over there?]

[Anasui was prepared too but he could do nothing but curse loudly when he falls through the ground. Unlike his two smaller companions, he does not fall on his feet and instead crashes onto the cave floor. Thankfully, he's not injured but that fucking hurt...]

Son of a bitch... [The Espathra groans as he sits up and shakes the dirt off his feathers.] This ghost is already getting on my nerves and we haven't even seen them yet. [Translation: he's fine. Just annoyed. Anasui grunts as he stands up and shakes the pain out of his legs. He pauses and is about to ask about Emporio what he sees when he also spots the violet and green lights. The man tenses.]

... Get ready. This is going to be another trick or a fight. [Bad either way.]

[The lights start forming into the shape of a creature, and Firepaw arches his back with his hackles raised. It... honestly doesn't look that impressive, but it is large and Firepaw can immediately feel the air getting heavy around it.

This must be the ghost they're looking for.

Firepaw doesn't actually wait for the Spiritomb to make a move, and just launches himself at it. Unfortunately, the first move he tries is Fury Swipes, which does absolutely nothing, except put him directly in line to get hit with Payback.]

GUH-

[The pressure is already sinking into his bones, and Emporio searches around for something he can throw. He's long realized that most of what he can do, won't do a thing against Ghosts...

But thanks to that fight he had in the North Forest-] Look alive-! [He shouts so that the others get out of the way, using Fling to hurl a stone. The spiritomb, already screeching in irritation at the Payback, gags outright as the rock clips through its mist.]

Nghh... What the... [Anasui's stomach lurches as the Pressure begins to settle. He grimaces and shakes his head, trying to shrug off the pressure, before he locks in.

They had been warned by the questboard that Psychic Moves had no effect, which unfortunately leaves Anasui with limited options. He moves quickly towards the Spiritomb and uses Aerial Ace.]

Perrrrissssh~~~ [The Spiritomb yells before shooting a Shadow Ball towards Anasui.]
