Not technically. Not if we're talking about when I was actually born anyway.

[It is what it is!] But, when I realized they were for counting how old you were, I used that day to start count. So, my birthday's in February.

[This proves a good distraction from what's really bothering him-- the prospect of aging. How do you plan for a future that was already ripped away from you?]

Laugh.] Hahah...Well, I've never swung a bat before, but I figure at least that with the kinds of things Pokemon can do, an aluminum one might last longer. ...I guess in a pinch I could use a bone though...

[Ahhh, well. He shrugs.] There's definitely ah...trade in prisons, but I got the impression that Anasui couldn't get anything 'appropriate'.

Oh, but he managed to get a cake through once! It was really impressive. Almost as impressive as when he put up a christmas tree the first year I knew him, actually. ...He gets pretty excited about stuff like that.

[Flowey's about to ask why Emporio hangs out with the girlfriend murderer, but then remembers he's done a lot worse. Still! It's a little weird, right? Maybe Emporio had no choice back then, but he does now. ... Maybe that's just how he is.]

I didn't take him for a big Christmas guy. What else does he like, toys? Cartoons?

[The day that they actually talk about that mess is the day Emporio learns a lot of things about his friends, probably.]

Actually....yeah. Kind of. I think in the case of toys it'd be more about taking them apart, but he really likes Disney animations. He was normally pretty quiet, but when he did talk, he could say a lot about Disney World.

[A name that will probably mean nothing!]

Hmm. I guess I could get him something too...I guess in December. ...along with a few people... [He mutters with a frown. The option to get presents was. Not something he really thought about!!]

[Interesting. He files that information away for later use. Anasui must have started taking apart toys before moving on to girlfriends.]

It'll probably be easier to focus on getting people presents than it will be expecting them, if I'm being honest. I...think I have a good idea of what everyone likes?

[He nods. He doesn't know everyone here as well as he used to know everyone back home-- and thank god for that. But, he could probably make some educated guesses of his own.]

... just between you and me, pal, this was my birthday before I died. And then I spent so long resetting. This is the first time it's been my birthday in ages. [And even then, it's not really his. 'Flowey' doesn't have a birthday.]

So...it doesn't feel like a birthday, is what you're saying?

[Or, hmm. He thinks about that again for a moment.] Or I guess...

It wouldn't feel like a birthday used to, right?

... Yeah, I guess. [It feels childish to say. His last birthday, he and Chara had...

... they're back, but his past self isn't.]

... am I supposed to just grow up now? Become an adult? After so long?

I wouldn't think so?

[He shrugs. He admittedly has a unique perspective on this, but...]

I don't think it's as easy as 'just growing up' or 'just becoming an adult' anyway. There's not really a button people press when they turn 18, or 21, and so on. There's definitely adults who are less 'adult' than some kids, [he says with confidence, despite how few people he's met are even kids.]

...So I guess, you just go where things take you. No expectations or parameters.

... Gee, you sure are mature for your age. [He says, despite also being a kid.] Yeah. I guess you're right. Thanks, Emporio.

[The cubone just shrugs, seeming more uncertain than anything.] I can only take your word for it, but...thanks.

It makes more sense to move forward anyway I think. ...No one stays the same forever. Not even if they live forever, I'm pretty sure.

[There's a somewhat meaningful look to Flowey, as he says that. He doesn't know about 'Asriel', not really. He doesn't know much about...any of that. He just knows that Flowey has lived a very, very long time, a time filled with reset after reset, that he ultimately did a lot of 'bad' in.

And that here in a world without resets, he's been making an effort, the same way Anasui has. To...be a little better, at least.]

With people like Emporio and Chara around, it might not be so bad to figure it out.

Flowey turns the conversation to other, light topics for a chat. And if Emporio shows up to his birthday... he GUESSES he'll put up with it. He can get his revenge in February, after all.]
