Did you know Sharpedos could rip through entire ships with those teeth? No way any wild Pokémon will give you trouble now.

[ Threatening people over Grumpearl is one thing, but this... there's something weirdly familiar endearing about this, even if it's a little cringe. ]

Sharpedos re-grow them pretty regularly, so they wash up on shore a lot. If you just know where to look, they're easy to dig for! I should show you sometime... We'll just have to go through some of my tunnels for the best spots...

I'm not afraid of tunnels. They used to be my primary way of getting around before I came here! [Now he's stuck hopping.] Just don't tell me you're keeping any bones you buried in there!

[He proceeds to throw it. It does go out the door of his room. Fortunately for Laios, it remains on one of the raised walkways and doesn't require him to go jumping down to the forest floor.]

[ A flash of yellow fur zooms out the door. He's gone. ]

[As soon as he comes back with the ball, Flowey rears back...

[ He can't believe it. Falling for one of the classic blunders. Despicable. ]

Trust me, I've known plenty of dogs! [Some of them more annoying than others.] You're as doglike as any of them. I mean, burying bones? Really?

[He feels a LITTLE bad, he supposes. Or at least, he knows he should.]

[He tosses the ball for real. Will Laios even go after it? After his trust has been broken..............]

[ He closes his eyes, taking Flowey's words to heart. There's a thoughtful look on his face now, and even when the ball bounces and rolls along the floor, the only reaction that seems to stir is a swivel of his ears. In silence, he nods to himself, before finally looking at the Sunkern straight in the eyes. ]

Thank you, Flowey, for being honest with me. You taught me a valuable lesson.

[ Slowly, he turns to leave.

Then immediately jets after the ball again. ]

[ He comes running back with the ball, eyes practically beaming with delight, before spitting it back out at Flowey’s general direction. ]

I can’t believe it! These instincts really are how like I thought they’d be!

[ His tail is going a mile a minute. He’s hovering dangerously close to Flowey and his thorns. ]

All this time, I thought maybe I was imagining it, but no! You confirmed it! And if I’m really as doglike as the dog monsters you know, then...

[ He gives Flowey a little lick on the forehead. Just as any appreciative dog would. ]
