1. Right Behind You

Yelling from the training rooms is sometimes par for the course for the sound of exertion and combat. What probably is less common is short screams of varying tones.

Anyone who investigates will find Kinger, circling a training dummy while making short yelps and screams, attempting to Astonish the dummy. He sounds like he's starting to get a little hoarse, but he is singularly focused on the dummy and doesn't notice when you approach.

2. Sea Seeking King

Despite having a body that, for the first time in decades, probably needs sleep, a few nights in to his stay he can't. His newly tiny stature gives him the luxury that few others in Oran housing have, which is to sneak out without waking his roommates. Probably.

He wanders his way outside to stand at the cliffside, feeling the cold spray of saltwater from the ocean. He laughs to himself quietly.

"It's real. I'm not in the circus anymore."

He sits near the cliffside, just enjoying the delicate feeling of salty autumn air that nothing in the digital world could possibly replicate. He lets off a faint glow, making himself visible to anyone else restless tonight.

3. Wildcard

A shared language? Well, that's a relief, that probably means they're not eating each other if they can talk to each other. I was worried since I hadn't seen any regular animals around that people might start trying to eat each other here!

Of course Pokemon eat each other!

[ Sort of confused, like - what else would they eat? They are not all herbivores! ]

Are. Are Pokémon and humans the only living creatures where you're from?

[Followed by a more pressing question.]

Are they the only living creatures here...?

[offtracks]

They are! Well, I suppose plants are living...

[ But that's a whole other thing, isn’t it? ]

[The reality sets in as Kinger thinks of his new friends and visualizes the worst: roasted game hens adorned with witch hats and domino masks, massive ostrich drumsticks, winter-spiced venison... A purple and pink mushroom chowder, WITH couscous!?]

Agh! [Kinger yelps out another Astonish and ducks behind the training dummy.] I don't want to be Soylent Purple!

[offtracks]

[ Ingo seems nonplussed. ]

Of course not! No one is allowed to hunt anyone within the village!

[0dchess]

For clarification does that mean 'people who live in the village' can't be hunted, or does it mean once we leave on quests we're fair game?

[Kinger is glad either way that he's safe in The Spire, but questioning this towering creature about whether he can be eaten is still a bit nerve-wracking without any witnesses.]

[offtracks]

One may always be hunted by wild Pokemon while traveling in the wilds!

[ Being a human didn't protect him either! Far from it! ]

Though the areas nearest us are relatively safe. The Pokemon there are quite used to Guild members!

[What makes them "wild"? What about guild members who got turned into carnivores- or spent their whole life that way? Kinger has a lot to think about and even in The Spire this place might be a bit too well lit for that.]

In that case, it's good that you showed me the ropes! I should probably get some rest, unless you have some other tips?

Not at all! Rest is also an important part of training! Safe travels! Follow the rules!
