October Catch-All

Who: Kinger, Cedric, and You (especially fellow Oran Berries?)
What: Kinger coming to terms with being a Pokémon in Bottlecap Bay
Where: The Spire (plus anywhere a Wildcard takes us)
When: Early October
Warnings: At least amnesia? I can't think of any others right now.

1. Right Behind You

Yelling from the training rooms is sometimes par for the course for the sound of exertion and combat. What probably is less common is short screams of varying tones.

Anyone who investigates will find Kinger, circling a training dummy while making short yelps and screams, attempting to Astonish the dummy. He sounds like he's starting to get a little hoarse, but he is singularly focused on the dummy and doesn't notice when you approach.

2. Sea Seeking King

Despite having a body that, for the first time in decades, probably needs sleep, a few nights in to his stay he can't. His newly tiny stature gives him the luxury that few others in Oran housing have, which is to sneak out without waking his roommates. Probably.

He wanders his way outside to stand at the cliffside, feeling the cold spray of saltwater from the ocean. He laughs to himself quietly.

"It's real. I'm not in the circus anymore."

He sits near the cliffside, just enjoying the delicate feeling of salty autumn air that nothing in the digital world could possibly replicate. He lets off a faint glow, making himself visible to anyone else restless tonight.

3. Wildcard

Feel free to hit me up with any other ideas for my little mushroom man! I will also be throwing any prompts we discuss elsewhere under this.

The non-Merlin mushroom has a point, so Cedric struts behind. Presumably they won't have to knock - actually, how do fellow guild members know each other? Do they get coloured scarves eventually? Oh well, later concern.

After observing the walls, he adds, "Or perhaps low-tier is more at the mercy of the elements."

Something about the question fills him with fatigue. Not because of the Spire's darkness, no, that he is used to. Nor is it because of Kinger's contrasting energy; if anything, it's quite inspiring.

It's most likely because he's suddenly thinking about the last fight he was directly involved in, back in Enchancia, fiercely defending Roland's castle from Vor before fleeing, storming back, and finally getting Sofia out of her own Amulet. Here, he lacks his magic, and his friends, so the prospect of confronting such evil again feels much more daunting.

But, as mentioned, Kinger's spirit is inspiring, so he does his best to hide this. Even if the weariness may still show in his eyes. "I suppose I do, yes."
cedricthegreat: (But that won't last for long)

Handwaving is fine with me. This has been fun ^^

"'Roomie'?"

Are they sharing a room? Do they all share a room? He didn't consider it before, but now he's strongly suspecting that's possible, if the housing is as humble as Mightyena suggests...

"How presumptuous," he mutters, but nevertheless follows. He's much used to living alone - for the most part - but if he will have other companions, he could do worse than this quirky little mushroom folk. Better than the ostrich at least.
