Ingo tilts his head a little, the nearest to a shrug that he can really manage while walking. Being a quadruped is still a little strange! "A bit! Their mother handled most of that, of course - it is easier when one is a Sneasler themselves, I suppose! But I did teach them more about strategy. That is more the job of a trainer! Not that I am really theirs, of course."
A few of them have stayed with him for a little while, but overall, none have chosen to compete full-time like that. It's for the best; Ingo suspects it would be a little controversial with the Clan elders.
"Perhaps a bit at times, but I enjoyed it!" His tone is fond, even if his face doesn't quite smile. "Most Pokemon mature far more quickly than humans, anyhow. So it was not quite like having to raise human children! They usually leave the den after a year or so."
He still does see them around often, of course! Most still live in the Highlands!
"I do enjoy helping travelers!" Ingo muses. Really, he enjoys most aspects of his work; maybe it's tough, but that's just fine. "Some of it was quite like the missions we have here, though there were far fewer. There are not so many people in the roads in Hisui, and we did not have anything like Pearls to spread information."

Though Mayaka says this, she herself is fond of her younger nieces. Maybe because she got to know them after they graduated from potty training.

There must be something he likes about it. Mayaka doesn't think she has the patience or resilience to take care of multiple litters of babies.

For a youth of the modern age, this seems hard to imagine.
"Did you write letters?"
