What: Everyone come hang out at the clinic because HOW many of u got beat up by the mega raid boss... come on, be honest. Alternatively check up on your friends to make sure they're not dead! or y'know you're at the clinic for different reasons/volunteering/actually sharing the new lore we all just got/whatever you want ok i'm not a cop anyone is welcome here, it's a public space

His injuries minor compared to others, Cedric was released pretty early from the clinic the following day. So imagine his surprise when he suddenly feels something land in his plumage without his permission.

He instinctively flaps to knock it off, but he notices two things. 1) That doesn't seem to work, and 2) Whatever it is, it's moving. So he moves on to the natural next step: caw and flail as if he's performing Astonish on himself. Which mostly means hopping and flapping in a circle. Cedric has never been the most dignified creature.

It was one thing for Catrina to manage an escape with Minimize...it was an entirely different story when Catrina had to choose an escape vehicle or in this case...Cedric. Catrina is not a very wise candle at all as she clings onto the Rodeo bull grade magical bird for dear life!

"SHIT! BIRDIE YOU GOTTA FLY UP AND OUT! WE NEED TO GET AWAY BEFORE THE DEAD FISH EYED CHANSEY BEASTS FIND ME!" Catrina called out as she tugs at the feathers as though they were the reins on a horse...Catrina Cedric is not a flying horse...like at all.

The shouting only causes him to flail more, at least until he realises he recognises the voice.

He'd recognise that horrendous menace anywhere.

And she is somehow on him right now.

"I will do nothing of the sort, CATRINA!" Why yes, he most certainly is emphasizing her name in the hopes that one of the Chansey in question will hear him and - erm - extract the candle from his feathers. "Now cut the invisible or shrinking spell or whatever you're doing and get off me!"

It's totally the most sibling brand interaction Catrina thrives for as she holds onto the feathers, tugging them a bit in the process.

Though a pause, an awful pause to consider.

Does Cedric REALLY want Catrina to return to full size as is right now?

Quoth the Catrina, "Are you sure?"

He yelps when she tugs his feathers - still hoping staff will notice, though it may just look like he's itching or straining his back from sitting for too long or something.

"YES yes, of course!"

Wait, she paused. Oh, he's played that game before, this is just what Cordelia used to do when they were younger. She'd pick him up with a spell, not let him in a room, anything, and he would ask her to stop, she would say, "Are you sure?" then he would say, "Yes," and then...

Oh no, not today. So he adds, "Getting-off part first!"

That may have been too long for her to oblige, but at least he said it.

Curses and drats, the plans were foiled as Catrina narrows her orb eyes a bit before hopping off. It was something Catrina could catch onto pretty quickly and opens her big ol' mouth on that Minimized body.

"Damn, let me guess, older sibling?"

Catrina did picked on her older brother at times too, but there were other times when Fernando, her brother, picked on her in return. This was a reaction Catrina for once understood immediately.

Wait, that actually worked? He stares wide-eyed as he spots the tiny Litwick who somehow still speaks at a normal volume for him. Perhaps because she's already so loud to begin with.

"Y-yes, as a matter of fact. How did you know?"

[gimmeeyeballs]

"Older brother back home with like two and a half braincells at best. He did the same thing too sometimes."

Catrina is a very loud candle both regular and tea light size, it could be thanks to years of being an opera prima donna beforehand. Either that or yelling at her older brother, both are very strong cases as Catrina just stares right back at Cedric for a moment.

"Oh. Well... Cordelia is a little cleverer than that, but she certainly acted like I wasn't at the time."

This is strangely awkward all of a sudden, he's not sure he likes being able to relate to this candle-shaped gremlin. Who can apparently shrink to the size of a wee sprite. Can he gracefully bow himself out of this interaction...?

"...Well I'll just be going now bye!"

No, no he cannot. He attempts to run out of the clinic before Catrina can catch up, or maybe the Chansey will catch her before she can.

Truly, it was a moment that felt like a sibling connection, it truly did. Maybe...MAYBE Catrina did finally form a good bound with Cedric somehow and everything would be...

NEVERMIND

Moment Cedric tries to ditch the tea light candle known as Catrina, she gives a look that any younger sister would have being ditched by an older brother to the pink nightmares!

"HOLY SHIT BIRDIE GET BACK HERE!" Catrina goes to launch herself for the tail feathers, she wasn't going to be taken back to that horror show!
