Who: Aelita, anyone!
What: New Pokemon that is also learning how to be alive, do chores and commit violence
When: April
Where: The city (Cheri berry guild, the training rooms, beach)
Warnings: Heights? Possible talk of child endangerment and everything about Aelita's background sounds Unfortunate without context.
Cheri Berry Guild
Berry collection
[Having to collect food was one of the many new things to her. Though from what she'd learnt from the others, humans didn't collect food. Her friends had mentioned going to a canteen but Aelita was sure that wasn't as involved as this.
Because she had a small woven basket tied to her back and was nimbly climbed up the thinner branches. Filling it with a few berries, then scurrying back to place them into a larger basket for someone else to collect.
The height didn't bother her. She regularly had to navigate worse when doing her patrols.
What did make her pause was the big berry. Something that had become apparent very quickly was that... She was small, very small. And this berry was more than two inches larger than her. It wouldn't fit in her basket and even if it did, she wasn't sure how much it'd weigh.
Time to return to platforms. Then she darted to the first Pokemon she saw.]
Hello there. Are you busy? I need help carrying something.
Leaving present
[For the last year, Aelita hadn't need to sleep. She'd spent her time looking for Xana activity, helping Jeremie on the materialisation program, talking to Jeremie, browsing the internet when Jeremie was sleeping.
So the first time she fell asleep was... Probably a bit more literal than it should have been.
But she knew better now! She could recognise when she was sleepy and where to go. She'd been given a pile of leaves. A majority of those leaves remained as a bed. The rest? They'd gotten tangled in her curly fur. Though some did fall out when she moved suddenly. Or when the scruffy creature did a full body shake.]

[She just wanted to help. Aelita hadn't liked watching the Minior when they were...in pain? She wasn't sure. But she'd not had the skills to help with their healing process.
What she could help with, was making these catapults. Her little paws were great for tying knots, climbing up and placing delicate parts of the mechanism. She was light enough to avoid brea-

[Aelita didn't fight. She had powers on Lyoko, but those required life points to use and they weren't practical in the same way a sword was. There was a difference between an actual weapon and manipulating the terrain so foes would take themselves out.
Since arriving she'd had a few bursts of power. Shooting off uncontrolled sparks of electricity (her first sneeze). No one had gotten hurt but it was probably better to learn what she could do.
That was how she found herself in the training rooms of the Spire... Now what? She awkwardly waited by the sidelines until another Pokemon seemed to be done, then waddled over with wave.]
Excuse me. Um... How do you know what to do?

Can you really touch it without being destroyed here?
[She'd been sat in the sand for a while, just watching as the waves ebbed and flowed. Though she never got near. When it seemed like the tide was changing, she'd get up and retreat further up the beach and away from the water.
Aelita hadn't even looked at the approaching Pokemon. She'd just spoken without moving her gaze from the water. Those who'd met her before might notice that she was a lot more subdued. She wasn't looking at everything, marvelling at the feel of the sand...just listening and observing the ocean.]
It's beautiful...

[Was this what her friends had wanted her to see?]

[ She can't help her own secretive nature, but that's likely what helps her recognize it in others so well. Even if her philosphy has been something of 'new world, new rules', all things considered. ]
That is to say, while it may not be the same thing at all as what you know, I am familiar with the internet and concept of a digital world. And how that can sometimes be difficult to discuss. You don't have to worry about it too much here, though you may encounter certain pokemon who call themselves digimon who tend to be very curious...
no subject
...If she actually wanted to hear those answers.
Best to ask something else.]
What are they? The digimon?
no subject
Hm~ they're monsters who under most circumstances usually come from the digital world, though there are a few unique ones who had a connection to the human world as well. That is to say, they also aren't native to this world, just had different forms before. Otherwise they're no different from anyone else here except for that, of course.
[ She shrugs slightly with one of her hair tendrils. Nothing at all to do with her, right, she's just knowledgeable for some reason. Or protective, but she doesn't admit to that. ]
They'll be more than happy to tell you about themselves, at least, but at least you can get used to the idea.
no subject
She'd accepted that.]
When you say monsters, they don't attack people. Do they?
[It didn't sound like it.]
no subject
[ She's aware that it's somewhat ironic coming from her, but she wasn't talking about herself anyway. "Monster" was just another name for creatures that humans hadn't fully taken into consideration. ]
Still, they've certainly had their influences from being around human children.
no subject
I met someone else who said they were a monster... Where I'm from, the monsters don't talk and they shoot at people.[Though it was probably debatable how 'alive' XANA's monsters were. Were they just an extension of it? Could they think on their own? Aelita wasn't sure. It wasn't really important.
The mention of human children got a small snort as Aelita smiled.]
What kind of influence?
[Because she was heavily influenced by human children.]
no subject
[ It's such a blanket term, but she thinks that's also human nature. Monsters that accept it don't really have another frame of reference for comparison, do they? ]
As for influences... it depends? For example, Guilmon is very childlike and likes bread, and the human who was connected to him shaped his whole world just because of their bond. It doesn't always work that way, though.
no subject
I wonder if I'd be considered a monster if I didn't look so human...
no subject
[ Says someone putting quite an effort in to not make it sound like she's too familiar with the experience and is just trying to float theory. ]
Though, monsters can look human enough to navigate the world and not have anyone look twice, either.
no subject
I was told I look like an elf. [Not to sure what that was. Or if it meant anything. It was one of those things Jeremie wouldn't elaborate on.
She held her paws out in front of her, examining them.]
Though here I'm a pokemon too...
[There was even other pokemon the same as her here. It was weird not being an individual being.]
no subject
[ Even if she seemed less certain of that by the way she was speaking. 'Elf' just sounded like another romanticized way of humans describing beings not exactly like them, especially if it was only relating to appearance. Anything else, however... ]
Or are you more concerned about adapting to a non digital world?
cw: child being casual about death
[Though multiple people had decided she was young. Aelita wasn't sure if that was a good or a bad thing yet.
But she finally turned back to the other pokemon. Shifting to stand.]
I've probably told you too much, though you seem to know about these things already. [She shook her head. Moving swiftly on.] I'd appreciate it if you did not tell anyone where I am from. My friends have told me that adult humans would deem me too dangerous to exist.
I'd like to see a bit more of this world if possible.
[She was giving a little smile. Very casual.]
no subject
[ It certainly doesn't seem to strike her as odd that 'adult humans' would find any sort of digital being they didn't understand dangerous. Relatable, really. ]
Being alive is far more preferable. There's a lot of this world left to see.
no subject
There is. I wish my friends were here, they wanted to show me their world.
[It felt like they should be here for all these things she was experiencing.]
no subject
Well, who knows? If they show up too, you can be ready to teach them things instead.
no subject
Maybe. There's a lot of strange things here.
no subject
[ Some people probably adapt faster than others, but at least she has that as an excuse for some of her inexperience. Similiarily, here she is offering something that she doesn't to most people- ]
Though if you do run into any more possibly confusing issues, you can let me know if you'd like.
no subject
Though sometimes I do something and get told it was weird afterwards. [Wilting. But she perks up again quickly enough. ]
Thank you for the offer though.. Um?
no subject
[ She says, judging them - Oh. Right. That one thing that most people might have done earlier in a first time meeting. ]
Right, you may call me Hatenna.
no subject
The humans I've met before weren't like that.
[They were, she just never saw it.]
no subject
Well, it sounds like you were lucky before, then, Aelita-chan. Of course they were more used to your circumstances more than others might be, if they were already your friends.
no subject
Wait, Hatenna? I was told to find you... They said I needed 'Adult supervision' and to find you or a Striffin.
[The frown and that Aelita hadn't actively looked for either probably said her thoughts there.]
no subject
...Ahaha, is that the sort of reputation I have...? That sounds so boring. Surely, I'm more cool, and mysterious?
[ Siffrin being also in that category is what's sending her... mostly because they were more likely to be at odds from being able to see through the other and not talking about certain things. ]
It's still as I've said, I'm keeping what we talked about to ourselves, and if anything else gets weird you can ask. Sounds like you've really gotten someone concerned though, huh?
[ She's leaning 80% Mayaka if she considers everyone she knows. ]
no subject
She got a weird feeling when people watched her try basic life things. It seemed like a good idea to hide her lack of knowledge in some areas, given how some people reacted.
Though she was tilting her head at Hatenna's comment and making a face.]
...I wouldn't say you look cool. Though I don't really know what that means. [Yumi was the coolest, wasn't she? Aelita thought she was anyway. As for someone being concerned, Aelita huffed through her nose.]
She asked my age, then said I needed an adult when I told her...
no subject
[ She's not worried about explaining the 'cool' thing. Rather, it served to better inform just how naive Aelita was and likely the sort of context that might make someone tell her to seek 'supervision'. Then again, it wasn't too much different from handling someone like Guilmon who just needed a good steer in the right direction now and again. ]
In this sort of world, almost anything can be a danger from just not knowing certain things.
