Who: Aelita, anyone!
What: New Pokemon that is also learning how to be alive, do chores and commit violence
When: April
Where: The city (Cheri berry guild, the training rooms, beach)
Warnings: Heights? Possible talk of child endangerment and everything about Aelita's background sounds Unfortunate without context.
Cheri Berry Guild
Berry collection
[Having to collect food was one of the many new things to her. Though from what she'd learnt from the others, humans didn't collect food. Her friends had mentioned going to a canteen but Aelita was sure that wasn't as involved as this.
Because she had a small woven basket tied to her back and was nimbly climbed up the thinner branches. Filling it with a few berries, then scurrying back to place them into a larger basket for someone else to collect.
The height didn't bother her. She regularly had to navigate worse when doing her patrols.
What did make her pause was the big berry. Something that had become apparent very quickly was that... She was small, very small. And this berry was more than two inches larger than her. It wouldn't fit in her basket and even if it did, she wasn't sure how much it'd weigh.
Time to return to platforms. Then she darted to the first Pokemon she saw.]
Hello there. Are you busy? I need help carrying something.
Leaving present
[For the last year, Aelita hadn't need to sleep. She'd spent her time looking for Xana activity, helping Jeremie on the materialisation program, talking to Jeremie, browsing the internet when Jeremie was sleeping.
So the first time she fell asleep was... Probably a bit more literal than it should have been.
But she knew better now! She could recognise when she was sleepy and where to go. She'd been given a pile of leaves. A majority of those leaves remained as a bed. The rest? They'd gotten tangled in her curly fur. Though some did fall out when she moved suddenly. Or when the scruffy creature did a full body shake.]

[She just wanted to help. Aelita hadn't liked watching the Minior when they were...in pain? She wasn't sure. But she'd not had the skills to help with their healing process.
What she could help with, was making these catapults. Her little paws were great for tying knots, climbing up and placing delicate parts of the mechanism. She was light enough to avoid brea-

[Aelita didn't fight. She had powers on Lyoko, but those required life points to use and they weren't practical in the same way a sword was. There was a difference between an actual weapon and manipulating the terrain so foes would take themselves out.
Since arriving she'd had a few bursts of power. Shooting off uncontrolled sparks of electricity (her first sneeze). No one had gotten hurt but it was probably better to learn what she could do.
That was how she found herself in the training rooms of the Spire... Now what? She awkwardly waited by the sidelines until another Pokemon seemed to be done, then waddled over with wave.]
Excuse me. Um... How do you know what to do?

Can you really touch it without being destroyed here?
[She'd been sat in the sand for a while, just watching as the waves ebbed and flowed. Though she never got near. When it seemed like the tide was changing, she'd get up and retreat further up the beach and away from the water.
Aelita hadn't even looked at the approaching Pokemon. She'd just spoken without moving her gaze from the water. Those who'd met her before might notice that she was a lot more subdued. She wasn't looking at everything, marvelling at the feel of the sand...just listening and observing the ocean.]
It's beautiful...

[ cleaning up is annoying. ]
Not everyone gets it right away, it's all right. [ eleanor is lucky she was already an adept fighter back home. and while she lacks almost all of her raw power here, that isn't a bad thing. ] There are other ways you can help.
no subject
I'm not sure what I can help with yet. [For now it was trying a bit of everything until she worked something out. Aelita shifted, her ears and tails drooping.]
I don't want to rely on others for protection though...
no subject
[ not everyone can pull their own weight. the great chain is only as strong as its weakest links, but the rest of that philosophy is a load of bullshit. ]
Especially if you're new. Everyone starts somewhere.
no subject
[Now she had a body. Now she had some form of attacking without injuring herself but...]
At least I can do more here... What about you? Were these abilities hard for you as well?
no subject
[ immediately expecting results is a fool's errand, and all. eleanor pauses at the question, tilting her head to the side. they weren't, not really. the moves were the easy part, even. figuring out how to navigate in a foreign body so wholly different to her own is what she struggled with - but she got used to it faster than most. years of moving about as the little sisters probably helped. ]
Not really. I'm the exception, though. I could do this sort of thing before I came here. [ and she did it well, despite her inexperience. ] This body was the hard part.
no subject
The mention of bodies made her laugh.]
Yeah, when I first arrived here I couldn't walk. My legs were too short... I still have trouble running.
[It was easier to lean forward and use her hands than to just use her feet. As Eleanor probably saw when Aelita used tackle.]

You're a water type aren't you? That's why you can shoot water. And I can shoot electric because I'm an electric type. [A second.]
Someone said I was a fairy type too but I don't get what that means.
[Shooting electricity? Made sense, she'd done it before, XANA did it almost daily. But what was Fairy?]
no subject
Yes, I am. [ she'll also be fairy type if she ever evolves, but that feels so far-off and impossible right now. but, she does know some moves. ] Fairy's more... esoteric, I guess.
[ eleanor turns to one of the training dummies and lets out disarming voice. dummies don't have feelings, so no emotional damage is done. ]
I can use fire as well.
no subject
Aelita was almost tempted to try singing herself. Not that she'd been able to use Creativity since arriving here. But she was distracted.]
Fire? But you're a water type?
[Didn't those cancel each other out?]
no subject
[ shrug. she wasn't supposed to be able to do it back home either, so it's just her lot. she backs away from aelita and hurls a flamethrower at the dummy. ]
See?
no subject
Don't mind mild awe.]
How'd you learn it? I can't even shoot electricity.
no subject
A dream, if you'd believe it. [ she's not spliced in this body, it's not as though that matters even though that is the more truthful answer. the far more truthful answer. ] Luck I guess.
no subject
I've not had one yet. But they sound interesting.
no subject
Yeah. Don't get too caught up in it, though. You should probably focus on what you can do yourself.
no subject
Then she's sprinting off to attack the dummy again.]
