[ Laios gently lets go of his hold on the vine once he feels Siffrin take it. All he can do now is watch as they finally break loose to make a swing for it, holding his breath all the while. There's a lot that could go wrong — and almost did, form where he's tangled — but the crisis is quickly averted. The Shinx manages to get up, bad foot and all, and the sight alone makes Laios let out a deep sigh of relief. They made it.

But there's still the matter of him.

He's about to call out, only to notice what the extra vine is actually for. His eyes widen, an excited spark now in his expression.
] You... you can do it!

[ He knows it's not easy to pull given the injury, so he mixes his encouragement is with gratitude. When the vine is secured enough, Laios glances around at the tangles around him he could do away with, just to help with the tension. Slowly, he bites into them where he can, waiting as each one becomes loose before moving onto the next.

Glancing back toward Siffrin, he places one of his loose paws onto the connecting vine. There's not as much give as he would have thought. Maybe, if he's close enough and fast enough...
]

G-give me a signal when you've pulled as far as you can!

[ The huff does manage to get his attention, just barely in the rain, but Laios remains hesitant to fully react, if only because Siffrin could very well just be straining against the weight under their breath. Only when he sees their tail wag does he make his move, taking in one final deep breath.

He starts to swing this time, waiting until he hits the highest point before his body becomes enveloped in sparks. The Discharge frays the last few tangles holding him, allowing him to jump forward, but also, slowly, start to damage the vine Siffrin is currently pulling.

Time to put these legs to the test.

[ Not nearly getting the same amount of air as Siffrin, he’s going to have to make it across the vine as quickly as possible. When one set of paws starts to press down, he bounds off almost immediately, wanting to put down as little weight as possible while maintaining his momentum. Luckily, speed seems to be what he’s built for now, and he only needs to bound forward once more.

When he gets close enough, and just as his line of sight starts to dip with the now snapping vine, he makes a leap for it, managing to land onto the platform and sliding straight into the tree trunk it’s wrapped around with full force. He immediately flops over.

But, even with a pounding heart and throbbing head now, he cranes his neck to look up at Siffrin, an exhausted smile on his face.
] We... made it.

IS THIS WHAT IT'S LIKE TO GET THE RAREST HOLO IN A PACK

[ Hearing Siffrin echo his words back just further cements it: they made it. Bump in the head notwithstanding, it's clear from his growing smile that he's just relieved to be on a solid surface again, releasing the built up tension all at once. Then, suddenly, he erupts in laughter, the rush of adrenaline now slowly draining out of him. Anyone else who might hear him in the Canopy would be right to think he's a bit out of it in that moment.

It doesn't last long though, exhaustion taking over him just as Siffrin settles in close. He shifts his position again, laying on his stomach now, front paws tucked in under for warmth.
]

Just in time too! Look at how bad the rain's getting. [ He sighs, looking ahead at the assortment of trees, before glancing at Siffrin with a tilt of his head. It's easy to be comfortable with a stranger after a near-death experience, that's for certain. ] ... I guess we just have to get used to this, don't we?

[ He's not going to elaborate. Siffrin clearly got it! ] At least we're not the only ones. I'm sure we'll all find our footing eventually. [ He mimics the Shinx while speaking, laying his head down on his paws just the same. ] But I still wish I had wings to make it a little easier.

[ Comfortable now, he can't help but close his eyes, only to open one lazily when Siffrin mentions the vines. Oh boy indeed, but he seems rather unbothered. It may be the exhaustion. ] Ah, yeah... that whole path is a mess now. It shouldn't be so bad though, once the rain stops. [ When you're that close to death, chores don't seem as terrible anymore. ] At least now we know we can make it back when we fall again. [ If! He meant if! ]
