"Really? Thank you! I'm Neige--it's nice to meet you!"

He relinquishes his hold on his work-in-progress stamp and hops just a little closer, watching her with obvious intrigue.

"Gosh, but you did come prepared. Parvati's going to be so excited to get that many stamps, if you're planning on making them all."

Well, if she can help him, maybe he can come up with a way to help her right back. Putting heads together to make a task more efficient could never hurt! Also, thinking about it that way makes him feel a little less...limited.

"Yeah, I figured it'd be better to get a bunch of different sizes and figure out what would work best for the shapes I have in mind."

Mayaka eventually finds a longer piece of wood and holds it up next to Neige, as if measuring the height of the Swablu with it. Then, she uses the sharp edge of her claw to trim it slightly.

"Try using something like instead. It should be easier for you to hold onto."

She hands the piece over to him. Being rectangular in shape, he should be able to grip onto one end with his talons, and comfortably peck and carve the other end of the wood without straining himself too much.
