[OPEN MINGLE] if everybody had an ocean
Who: Eleanor and YOU!
What: Elly's beach party!
Where:: The beach!
When: Within the first week of June
Warnings: Hopefully none, just beach shennanigans

Eleanor's hosting a beach party! Although it's primarily meant for her and her friends, everyone is welcome. So come and partake in some swimming, some games, and even the food! Feel free to respond to the prompts here or to create your own below :)can you tell i like the beach boys
1] Then Everybody'd Be Surfin'
The party is in full swing, with games on the go and a few Pokemon splashing about in the shallows. Eleanor's taken it upon herself to double up as a lifeguard, keeping an eye on those less adept at swimming should they enter the water. She knows it'll probably be fine, since it is just shallow waves. But perhaps someone who is too small is trying to recklessly catch them with no clue as to how surfing works. Regardless, she stands relatively close to the water, before finally splashing in herself to try and catch up with one of her friends.
2] Like Californ-I-A
When she's not by the water, Eleanor can be found participating in a rather janky game of volleyball. Originally she'd tried to see if the game would work with one of her bubbles, but they've acquiesced and borrowed a ball from the sports club. It's not like she can't go grab it should it get knocked into the ocean. But still, the game is tough and more than a little confusing for her, so she's quick to dip out to go and peruse the snack options instead. There's a lot of cut up fresh fruit, some grilled veggie skewers, and even a couple of meat options for the more carnivorously inclined. All of it freshly cooked on a small firepit. She's mostly helping herself to the fruit - it's an assortment of berries and what... could probably be melons? She's not actually sure, since a lot of the snacks and food has been provided by other Pokemon. The melon pieces appear to have been smashed, though. In fact, there's someone blindfolded and trying to smash another one not too far away.
It's not a beach activity she's personally familiar with, but she's glad whoever that is is having fun?
3] Everybody's Gone Surfin'
One activity previously not on the itinerary is sandcastle building - which Eleanor has been roped into by her Popplio friends. While certainly not something suited for a party, perhaps, it is suited for the beach! The younger Pokemon eagerly gather around her, packing in the sand and reinforcing it with some weak water attacks to make the sand more secure.
Eleanor's sandcastle seems... different, though. Far different to her companions at least.
4] Surfin' USA
[ standard wildcard option! eleanor will also hit up any tls posted below because it's her party after all! ]

There's amusement woven through the patronizing tone in her voice.
"I am of fire. I have always been of fire. I have never wanted to quell or stop a fire before. This is new territory for me, trying to stop a blaze from devouring a town."

The corners of his mouth pull down, and he gives her a sideways look. One that's decidedly disrespectful.
"Sorry, I don't think in... magic bullshit yet," Simon retorts; his tone is sour, grouchy.
"Not like you."
It sure seems to come easily to her.
But he doesn't linger in it, doesn't dwell in the moment of his resentment. Instead he moves on, like this is normal for him: grasping for the parts he doesn't understand, like asking will pull him towards some kind of answer he can hold onto.
"What do you mean, you're 'of fire.' What does that mean."

Whether or not that's strictly true could be argued. If the baby found on Eileen Montague's funerary pyre could have, at some point, been rescued and raised to be normal. But the chance was never given, by the Cult of Lightless Flame or Raymond Fielding or Gertrude Robinson or Jude Perry or anyone else in the charred fragments of her life. And to consider the possibility is its own sort of pain. The Desolation isn't just about agony in a physical sense, but the loss of something's potential; what might have been is fuel to Asag's flame, and her future was ashes before her death.
"I was something that burned."
