[OPEN MINGLE] if everybody had an ocean
Who: Eleanor and YOU!
What: Elly's beach party!
Where:: The beach!
When: Within the first week of June
Warnings: Hopefully none, just beach shennanigans

Eleanor's hosting a beach party! Although it's primarily meant for her and her friends, everyone is welcome. So come and partake in some swimming, some games, and even the food! Feel free to respond to the prompts here or to create your own below :)can you tell i like the beach boys
1] Then Everybody'd Be Surfin'
The party is in full swing, with games on the go and a few Pokemon splashing about in the shallows. Eleanor's taken it upon herself to double up as a lifeguard, keeping an eye on those less adept at swimming should they enter the water. She knows it'll probably be fine, since it is just shallow waves. But perhaps someone who is too small is trying to recklessly catch them with no clue as to how surfing works. Regardless, she stands relatively close to the water, before finally splashing in herself to try and catch up with one of her friends.
2] Like Californ-I-A
When she's not by the water, Eleanor can be found participating in a rather janky game of volleyball. Originally she'd tried to see if the game would work with one of her bubbles, but they've acquiesced and borrowed a ball from the sports club. It's not like she can't go grab it should it get knocked into the ocean. But still, the game is tough and more than a little confusing for her, so she's quick to dip out to go and peruse the snack options instead. There's a lot of cut up fresh fruit, some grilled veggie skewers, and even a couple of meat options for the more carnivorously inclined. All of it freshly cooked on a small firepit. She's mostly helping herself to the fruit - it's an assortment of berries and what... could probably be melons? She's not actually sure, since a lot of the snacks and food has been provided by other Pokemon. The melon pieces appear to have been smashed, though. In fact, there's someone blindfolded and trying to smash another one not too far away.
It's not a beach activity she's personally familiar with, but she's glad whoever that is is having fun?
3] Everybody's Gone Surfin'
One activity previously not on the itinerary is sandcastle building - which Eleanor has been roped into by her Popplio friends. While certainly not something suited for a party, perhaps, it is suited for the beach! The younger Pokemon eagerly gather around her, packing in the sand and reinforcing it with some weak water attacks to make the sand more secure.
Eleanor's sandcastle seems... different, though. Far different to her companions at least.
4] Surfin' USA
[ standard wildcard option! eleanor will also hit up any tls posted below because it's her party after all! ]

Umemiya Hajime - Wind Breaker - Lucario - Wildly OTA
Look, someone had to take charge where food was involved, and Umemiya has access to all the best vegetables, and was able to go hunting the day before the party. He's set up the grill pits with charcoal and fragrant wood chops. He's made the skewers of onions and bell peppers and zucchini, as well as the few with marinated Pidove and Tepig for those who eat meat.
He can't help but remember his arrival to the Bay, in weather like this. Occasionally, there's a quiet glance around in case he might catch a glimpse of a shiny melon-stealing Thievul. It drags his mood down just slightly, as he passes fresh-grilled food to anyone and everyone.
2. Petal Wizard
The party continues through the afternoon, and into the evening. As the sun begins to set, a breeze of red flower petals floats in the breeze, Umemiya's contribution to the decor to make the late night scenery even prettier than the afternoon had been. He's found a tall dune to stand on, and is using Petal Blizzard to shower the beach with plum blossom petals.
Because why not?
Of course, if anyone's done their homework, they know this isn't part of the standard Lucario moveset. But it's thematic as fuck for Umemiya, isn't it?

Agnes Montague | The Magnus Archives | Ninetales | OTA
The morning of the day that the party was set to take place, the clouds thickened with the risk of rain. Which might have been fine; there were few calendar reasons not to postpone the party, but Agnes decided to take matters into her own hands, moving down to the beach early and glowering at the sky with all the indignation an Avatar can muster.
And the sunlight turned harsh!
For the rest of the afternoon, any cloud that tries to form over this stretch of beach gets glared into submission. Hopefully, there's no one here who's at particular risk of sunburn, as there's a Drought ability in effect.
2. Et elevamini, portae aeternales
And if there's a beach party, there must be a bonfire, especially once night settles in. Blankets have been arranged around the fire to make a good spot to dry out and warm up for those coming in from the surf, and someone (yes, Agnes) has even managed to procure marshmallows to roast.
Find her settled down on one of those blankets comfortably, watching other 'mons but hesitating to spook unless spooken to.
3. Et introibit rex gloriae
Wildcard again--come bother the fox.

Catrina Calavera | Original Character | OTA
Catrina absolutely shouldn't be out to the beach, let alone be left to her own devices. Alas, the fates clearly have deemed it just and fair to let this wretchedly awful candle loose at a beach party.
Besides...she wants to socialize, maybe. She's trying you guys!
At the moment, Catrina for a change of pace, is attracted to the food being cooked at the moment. At least she isn't eating the beachball this time around, that's the only positive that be had here at this point.
"Say, yah got any paella being made?"
B. No More Teachers, Dirty Looks!
Was it advisable for a Fire and Ghost type Pokemon to go near the ocean? Probably not, but that isn't stopping Catrina's need for the water. Sure, before she was a fresh water species of amphibian that couldn't handle being doused in salt water at all, but now...oh now she has this wax body that could take it.
Was it logical? Totally not, but again, that's not stopping Catrina.
If someone were to come by, they'll see Catrina attempting to interact with the watch via trying to dip her molten wax feet into the water...do they count as feet? I don't think they're feet guys. Please feel free to yank Catrina away from the ocean before it lays claim to its prize.
Then again, who are we to deny the ocean from claiming its very waxy awful prize?

Clonelin | Collinlock16 (Oneshef) | Mimikyu | OTA mostly
Closed to Eleanor, response to Everybody's Gone Surfin'
Clonelin is watching the sandcastles being built with quite some fascination. They're all so delicate-looking, but so sturdy!
It shuffles over and, without a word to Eleanor or the Popplios, just starts poking at Eleanor's sandcastle. Not enough to destroy the sandcastle, but enough to leave little tiny claw holes.
A. Resource Gathering (OTA)
Well, if sand is being used to build, then sand must be acquired! That's why Clonelin has begun digging a long, narrow trench in the sand. One end of the trench is still at ground-level, but slopes down deeper and deeper the further it goes.
Every so often, the little Mimikyu scurries out with big handfuls of sand and deposits them in an ever-growing pile.
This is definitely a tripping hazard, but it doesn't seem to realize or care.
B. Blunt Force Damage (OTA)
Wow, those are some big melons! They could provide food for a long while. At least for Clonelin, at its size.
It just has to cut it up, first.
Clonelin reaches back and grabs the wooden stick that usually serves as its "tail," wielding it in both hands like an axe.
Then it jumps up, swings-
Mimikyu used Wood Hammer!
-and hits the melon dead-on, smashing the thing to pieces and sending melon bits everywhere.
...Whoops.

Noelle Holiday | Deltarune
[Noelle arrives on the beach with only some accessories- such as her spiked bracelets- omitting her new goth outfits. Even though most Pokemon don't wear clothes, she feels oddly naked now.
But, alas. It's important for as much of her to get sunlight as possible. As much as she loves the Winter and all its holidays, her new body has been forcing her to become a Summer girlie. Spending a month in the Archives doing her research has been hell on her Grass-type urges to go out and photosynthesize, so she's playing catch up now, parking herself on the beach and absorbing as much sunlight as possible.
She casts a long shadow, which serves her shadow-dwelling girlfriend perfectly. The only downside is that she's shedding again-- this time, some of her pink fur is being replaced by green. Summer really is coming up, isn't it?]
Doing okay back there? [She turns a little to see how Shoka is doing.]
ii. Long Runs on the Beach (open)
[She can't really make a sand castle with her hooves, and she stays out of the sea-- it reminds her too much of the time she thought she saw someone important to her and had to be dragged back to safety.
Instead, she starts suggesting a race. She's had enough photosynthesizing and wants to work off some energy! She'll allow you to swim or fly instead if you prefer, but she'll be running.]
-- How about the first one to that huge palm tree and back? [The tallest palm tree is far off in the distance.]

Aelita (Dedenne) - OTA
Surf n turf
She couldn't swim, at least Aelita didn't think she could. Lyoko did have small pools of 'water' that the others had swam in, but she'd not risked it. What was a potential devirtualisation for them was death for her.
Instead she'd waddled to the much shallower tide pools dragging a tiny board. Ones where she could easily hop along the bottom if she fell in. Her little board was going on the water and...
Hm, calculating. How did the others get on their skateboards?
She stepped onto the end.
And promptly went into the drink. The board flipping because of the sudden weight on one end. It's fine... she could poke her head out and breathe. Even if she was wheezing from the sudden dunking.
She was going to keep trying though.
Footprints
While she didn't get close the ocean. She did spend quite a bit of time messing with the sand. It was interesting how actual sand worked. On Lyoko she could would though the Desert Sector but there'd never be footprints.
It was interesting seeing how the amount of moisture changed how sand acted.
She wasn't really build anything. Aelita was just digging little holes.

Sonya | Fire Emblm Echoes | OTA (*googles whether beach day existed in medieval times)
Sonya has been spending some time quietly observing the Brionne. She can't quite understand what Eleanor and all the other Pokemon, are trying to do, throwing themselves into the sea like this. In her time, learning how to swim was more for survival than for leisure. And who would willingly drench themselves and look like a pile of seaweed coming back out from the water?
The next time Eleanor comes back onto the sand to dry off, she'll notice the Liepard staring at her.
"Having fun?" She smiles politely, showing her sharp teeth in greeting.
2 - Beach bewilderment
Whatever form of beach activity you may be indulging in, it's likely Sonya has never seen it before and will be perplexed enough to approach and ask:
"What on earth are you doing?"
3 - Sunbathing interrupted
The Liepard has finally found something to do here that suits her tastes. She's pulled a few large palm leaves together to fashion a simple beach mat for herself and is currently curled up to enjoy the warmth of the sun (thank you, Agnes).
Even though her eyes are closed, she'll notice when someone stands in front of her, blocking the rays.
"Excuse me? You're a little too close."
