Impromptu Oran Sleepover

What: Having fun with communal dens
When: Sometime after Mightyena gathered them up

Warnings: Will add if anything comes up, but not anticipating anything

[As everyone knows by now, the Oran Berries depend heavily on communal living, sharing a bed is simply to be expected. For some, this experience was temporary. Mightyena was kind enough to lend the mysterious misplaced Pokémon a place to rest, but now some of them have moved on.

For others, this is now a part of life, and it's time to get used to it. The Oran Berries value treating everyone like friends and family, after all, so you're expected to do the same! Why not have some fun with it?

Whether you've noticed your fellow newcomers are all gathering in one den, or you suddenly find yourself dragged into the the party against your will, everyone is invited! Everyone's going through the same thing, belong to the same guild, you gotta stick together.....right?]

[[ooc: Feel free to use this as a mingle log! We have nine Oran Berries (I think???) and although the dens are said to hold up to eight, I think some members are small enough that we should be able to include everyone!]]

Mmph. That's not- I mean, why couldn't they just be helpful?

[Yeah, he'd like to avoid the types who would be too into being a donor. It wouldn't have to be weird, though, right? Still, he's looking a tad flustered over this whole topic and he is glad to talk about something else.]

Uh. Yeah, I slept. It was sort of different from when I would sleep before I was turned, but... I'd definitely feel tired around dawn and feel the need to rest while the sun's up.

NO. I slept in my bed, like a normal person. I just, ah, put sheets over the windows, is all. That worked well.

Well, I gotta hand it to you... Sounds like you were the most normie vampire ever.

[She sounds disappointed.]

Good. That's what I was going for.

[She can be as disappointed as she likes, Conrad just crosses his arms in a triumphant gesture.]

Believe me when I say you wouldn't want to run into the other vampires I was unfortunate enough to meet.

What makes you so sure? For all you know, I would've been the most twisted vampire of all.

[He opens his mouth to deliver a swift retort, but then hesitates, taking a moment before he says anything.]

... The vampires I knew were all cold-blooded murderers. But, fine... You think you would've made a good vampire?

Maybe. Or maybe not. But I wouldn't be such a baby about eating at least... And I got called cold-blooded plenty of times at my last job.

[He utters a grumbly sound, looking indignant.]

You say that, but the diet change is rather a big adjustment.

What was your job, anyway?

I was a Reaper.

[That's all she says, very casually and with no elaboration.]

[conradachenleck]

[That gets a raised a brow from him.]

... What do you mean? You harvested crops or what?

Yeah, they called me cold-blooded at my crop-harvesting job.

[Sigh!]

No, dummy. Ever heard of the Grim Reaper? Y'know, shinigami?

[conradachenleck]

[There's a pause as he tries to assess if she's for real or not. Maybe he shouldn't be so skeptical, though, since he just told her he's a rather miserable vampire and she apparently believes him.]

I know of them... I just didn't think you could seriously be saying you reap souls. That was your job?

[telewarped]

Like you being a vampire is any more believable.

Sort of. Honestly, I was small potatoes in the Reaper world, so I was mainly on tutorial duty—y'know, introducing people to the afterlife, getting 'em used to the rules... That kind of thing. The whole reaping souls deal was more my boss' boss' job.

[conradachenleck]

... Yeah, I know, fair enough.

[There's a pause then as he mulls over this information.]

So, you were a guide, then... For dead people. I'd assume they'd would be grateful, if there are, uh, afterlife rules they have to follow.

Hah! Yeah, no. It's always just the same old sob story with them... "Please, Miss Reaper, there must be some sort of mistake! I simply couldn't have died!"

[It might be obvious from her mocking tone why people weren't often grateful for her guidance.]

Oh. Hm. I don't remember anything from when I died, but... I guess it would be rather, mmm, traumatizing. Especially if you're going to end up in not so nice place.
