Right... hee hee.
[Flowey sits there awkwardly before hopping after them.]
... Say, maybe we got off on the wrong foot! I'm Flowey! Flowey the Sunkern!

Good to see you again?
[They try to say it sarcastically, but mostly they're just very confused. Why would that be a good thing? This jerk teleported them to the middle of the woods? He wanted to do that to Ralsei? Why is it happy to see him???
Maybe it just has a sense for assholes... or something.]
[1/2]
Uh, same here?
[2/2]
Here we are! Hee hee... watch and learn!
[Flowey immediately tosses a Blast Seed at them which bursts a pumpkin wide open in the crossfire. Seeds and pumpkin goo fly everywhere. When the smoke clears, the Pumpkaboo are both down. Flowey lets out a maniacal laugh.]

At least the seed in their cake wasn't one of those, damn.
They shake off their surprise, immediately turning to put a claw on Flowey's..... head? body? most of him?? It's not important. Please do not throw another seed grenade.]
They're only scaring people. We don't have to fight. [But the Pumpkaboo don't seem like they want to listen to reason... hmm.] We can scare them back. Get them to leave that way.

You idiot. These Pokemon aren't LIKE the ones from town. Did you learn NOTHING from your months out in the woods? The wild ones don't listen to reason. They'll attack if you give them the chance.
[His voice turns back to normal.] Don't worry, I won't KILL them. Just make it so they'll NEVER come back.

... If you don't give anyone a chance, you'll never know who will listen to reason. These guys don't seem like they're trying to hurt anyone.
[Just kind of annoying. Kris isn't opposed to fighting, but their Soul is channelling their inner Ralsei... and they also agree fighting should be saved as a last resort, in most situations. This doesn't seem like the sort of life-or-death peril that would call for first strike.
Flowey might be the one who doesn't want to listen to reason, though. Hmm.]
Guess you can't do it anyway. Not very scary. [poor Flowey has so little aura he has to resort to violence to be noticed... sad.]
flowey used scary face! not very effective against kris. super effective against pumpkaboo?
You wouldn't know scary if it was right in front of your bowl cut. But FINE. I'll take the bait. But DON'T think you've won, idiot.
[Way to remind him about the virtues of being a 'kind person' when he was having fun destroying some Pokemon. They're just like Frisk. (Fortunately for them, he's too mad to examine THAT thought further.)]
Howdy, you stupid gourds!
[Once he's got the Pumpkaboos' attention, he puts on his most evil face and lets out a scream. Several of them yelp and vanish.]

The shriek doesn't scare them either, but it does make them crack the tiniest, smuggest smile. Wow, that barely took any convincing at all. Maybe he's more like Susie than they thought... they can work with this.
They can't make him do all the work, though. They step aside of Flowey, walking a bit further into the patch... then, they take a deep breath]
2/2
They've had some practice with that one. Worked pretty well while they were stuck in the middle of nowhere. Also worked on Noelle. Susie would be proud.
A few more of the ghosts scatter, shrieking with fear(?)(or maybe it's delight at being bested?)... although, it's not as effective as it could've been. The strongest of the Pumpkaboo, undeterred by speed drops and a low-level Roar, merely cackle back at them and pop back into their hiding spots.
... but are they actually hiding?]

It reappears with a blood-curdling shriek, scaring the life out of Flowey before knocking him out. The Phantom Force attack leaves Flowey badly wounded. The Pumpkaboos laugh with delight.]

Hey! [pain in the ass or not, that's still their teammate getting attacked. They charge in, putting themselves between Flowey and the band of gourdly specters.] The joke's getting stale, get some new material.
[Stubbornly, they are still not attacking... but if one of them decides to push their luck with the Deino, it's simply in their nature to bite anything that comes within range. Prepare to get auto-parried, losers.]
no subject
Watch out!! [That's one of his favorite attacks. What a nasty trick.] Kris, fight back, you stubborn idiot!
[Even as he says it, he's sure that they're not going to.]

... yet, they still hesitate. Because if they moved now, Flowey would be undefended.
Their feet stay rooted in place, making the split-second decision to try deflecting it instead. It doesn't go as planned. The seed latches onto their body, the only thing they have to block with, vines rapidly sprouting to dig into their fur. They can't even reach it with their teeth from this angle. Bad.
The Pumpkaboos on the sidelines laugh even harder. No way are they gonna lose to a bunch of clowns.]
Was that supposed to be an attack? I barely even felt it. [Is Taunting them going to help? Maybe?? If they can beat up the ringleader the smaller ghosts might leave, but they need to get the damn thing in biting-range first—and Kris is decidedly Not leaving Flowey to fend for himself.]
1/2
... Is it so painful for the enemies? He knew that on an intellectual level, but seeing Kris suffering from it is making him rethink a few things.
Well, if they want to play it that way, he can work with that. He'll beat them at their own game.
Shakily, Flowey manages to pick himself up. He has an idea. A stupid idea, but better than nothing.]
Hey!
2/2
[Dead silence. That was so darn STUPID, I need to reset so freaking bad, Flowey thinks. And then a Pumpkaboo laughs. If nothing else, Gourgeist is so perplexed that it doesn't attack.
Thanks, Toriel. (That was NOT one of Sans's. He'd rather die for real.)]
